Welp, I have two things to tell you guys ...
Remember that Birthday Card from H? Well I did do a "Return to Sender". So Lexxxy, I owe you an apology, I just decided I needed to send it back to him. Hope he gets the message.
And some good news ....
I received a Christmas card yesterday from my step-son, Ryan (haven't been allowed to see him in a couple mos), just the fact he sent me a card melted my heart and had me in tears. Here's what he wrote in kid alphabet type BIG letters:
************************************************** I love you joeane
I wish I could spend christmas with you
love Ryan **************************************************
I was floored and all torn up. I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas gift. Slept with the card under my pillow last night.
All you folks who have children, you're so damn lucky, just blessed. They're the most precious gift God has given us. I envy you, but in a good way.
That's all. Thanks for listening.
Love, Jo
[ December 22, 2001: Message edited by: Resilient ]

Ryan is certainly blessed to have such a caring mom. You are you know. Your feelings to him is exactly how a mom feels.
Thanks for sharing your story. You have added a piece of sunshine to my day. It is windy and rainy right now....no sun. My little one is at work with me and currently exploiting the copy machine with his artwork.
Wanna baby sit? he he he Wish we were closer....(oh not for the baby sitting stuff), just to be able to give you a hug in person..... maybe one day.
