I enjoyed the thread about what star do we look like but it started me thinking,
what star/character do you wish you were like and how? looks, actions, etc.
what star/character do you think your spouse wishes you were more like and why?
what star/character do you wish your spouse was more like and why?
[ January 17, 2002: Message edited by: chazbutler ]

ok...I'll play.
Physically I wish I had Nicole Kidman's body...with just a bit more meat on those bones. I wish I had the class of Lauren Bacall and her sexy voice. But personality wise I wish I was like Audrey Hepburn. She was so compassionate, graceful, kind, she is one famous person I think really lived her life to the fullest in an unselfish way.
I think that my husband wishes I had Salma Hyak's body...in the "Desperado" days. (Doesn't it seem that the more popular an actress gets the skinnier she gets?) And I think he wishes I were more like Drew Barrymore personality wise...funny, a little goofy, but with a strong self-esteem. But I am pretty goofy...sometimes funny. Guess I just have to work on the self esteem thing.
Let's see. Physically...I just wish my husband was a bit taller...but please don't tell him that. Personality wise, oh...I guess just a generic thing...no specific. I would like him to have the characteristics you see in a lot of the period films like "Emma" or gee, just out of the Jane Austen novels. Respectful, chivalrous, ready to defend his lady no matter what, loyal, romantic, but a bit rustic too...manly but sensitive. I would just like to respected, loved, and very very treasured.

None. 99% of celebrity couples have cheating involved on one or both parts. BTDT. Last night Russell Crowe was on Primetime Live and he was talking about America's trampy sweetheart Meg Ryan. He said somethign to the effect of " I didn't plan on falling in love with her. It just happened. If that offends some people that's too bad." Yuck.

It's just hard for me to think of stars that way because I had a lot of friends who worked in the entertainment industry and I heard so many stories. So my vision is too colored by what I know I guess to play this game. Seems like Paul Newman and JoAnne Woodward have a good thing going. But who knows. I'm just too much of a skeptic when it comes to celebs lol. I can think of physical attributes, but not much beyond that.
<<<belive it or not what i changed my signature to about Howard stern giving the best advise was all about him owning the fact that people like him and Barbara Deangelo, simply choose not to be married to not work at it to not do what it takes, why, because the life they are choosing to live dosnt support family and marriage its not surprising that people spend time away from their families and spouses and in romantic situations with others and that is screws up marriages>>>
I am a big Howard Stern fan and I admire how honest he was about his marriage and owning up to his faults and shortcomings. It's sad they couldn't work it out but at least he didn't try to gloss it over. One thing that makes me wonder as far as his wife's feelings.. When they were marreid he always talked about how she wanted to go out and do things (restaurants, clubs, premieres, vacations) and he admittedly always complained that it was too much hassle for him and he didn't want to. Now that he is divorced he always talks about going all these different places. I just wonder if that makes his ex feel sad, angry, like it wasnt' fair... Just musing & rambling here.
Sorry about my judgmental thinking about celebrities. My rose colored glasses are too long gone and I'm too much of a cynic I guess.

[ January 18, 2002: Message edited by: fairydust ]

Me, Tina Turner. Wouldn't want to have had all her past troubles, but can that woman sing! And she looks pretty darned good at her age...and can you imagine being able to dance in those spike heels at 60 something? To me that is nothing short of profound.
My H easy one too - Sean Connery - is there anyone else. Except for the accent my H does resemble him.
