Cali---
I didn't want to steal your thread so I am posting this here.
You said:
"H and I have always had bedtime issues. He's always been one for falling asleep in front of the TV... didn't usually get into bed until the wee hours... I took this very poorly over the course of our marriage that he didn't want to 'come to bed w/ me.'"
Ok--I had the same problem...that is, W always headed off to bed...said don't stay up too late, thenw ould come out to the living room to get me and a lot of times I was into something or, yeah fell asleep in front of the TV or whatever and we didn't end up going to bed at the same time.
I never thought of it as a big deal...
Is it?
Why?
Gotta go, but this kind of struck me so wanted to drop a short note....
thanks for your input...
E

I've really been thinking about the 'why' this was such an issue for me...
I 'took' it as a slight... though he always said it wasn't. He always had an 'excuse/reason.' Was watching something... his stomach hurt (has reflux) etc.
I just felt lonely and isolated... I wanted him to want to be with me... and no matter how I tried to explain how I felt... he just started to see it as control...
Cali (ps. you can 'steal' my thread anytime )
