My WS is fetching our DD's this afternoon to spend the weekend with him and OW. How time flies. This is now the first time his seeing them again after spending three weeks with them in December which left our children very confused. Legally he sees the children every alternate weekends.
He bought 10yo D a cell phone in December to stay in daily contact with them. He avoids contact with me, I only contact him when required.
Well, after what happened last weekend - Him deducting school uniform monies from maintenance and removing valuable tea-set from my house I think he is under the impression that I am mad about this. Did not LBust him neither contacted him regading this matter. 10yo D is very upset because I told her the tea-set was his and also explained to DD's why she could not pay music fees or send 3yo to play school as WS did not cover the cost. Told her that I could not afford it and I will look for alternative methods to get her to continue music and less expensive play school for 3yo something I can afford.
10 yo D, very upset about this and on her own decided that she did not want to speak to WS. She blocked her cell phone so since Sunday he could not get hold of her.
He phoned me yesterday and in a very rude and abrupt manner asked me why D was not answering the phone. I did not give any reasons and just told him that her phone was blocked. He gave me puk# which was incorrect. I then rang off before him because he thinks I am manipulating the whole situation. I've given DD the option of using my phone and she refused. Saying "I don't want to speak to him". Gave her a lecture on respect for her Dad. She is extremely hurt because he is not paying any attention to her and when she spoke to him about it he told her she must stop demanding his attention.
I feel like giving him this letter tonight - Please tell me whether I should do it???????????
Dear WS On 29th January it is 10 yo parent/teacher meeting, as you are aware of the circumstances regarding D school work I would appreciate it if you could attend this meeting if possible.
We've had difficulty in assembling birthday gift of 3yo and I told her that you will be able to help her. (I don't want him to think that I am being vindictive and sending the gift back - I did try)
10 yo is going through a tough period and I need your help with this matter. She was made aware of being overweight and is now struggling tremendously with this. I've spoken to her therapist and it was decided that we shall not make a issue about it but will incorporate ways and means of reducing her intake without making her aware of it. She refuses to eat any salads or anything pertaining to diet food. I give her three balanced meals per day according to a weightloss program, fruit and fruit juice. Her reward is a small chocolate or sweets. She is not aware of this and we play a game whereby we weigh each other weekly. At restaurants I give her advice on what to order but I do not force her or keep any food away from her. I would like your help regarding this. She is also entering puberty stage now and she is extremely moody and difficult so we will have to handle her with lots of love and care.
Please, please help me - I don't want him to think this is a LBust or telling him what to do.

Well, I'm bumping this up so hopefully you can get some opinions on this. I think your note is ok. Clear and to the point, and not disrespectful.
I have one thought though about the cell-phone. Your H probably needs to understand that 10 seems a bit young to have a cell phone, especially if he's depending on that being the sole method of communication with her. He gave it to her, so he should HELP her figure out how to use it respectfully. Sounds also like they need some quality time together, to maybe clear the air, and he needs to let her express her anger, etc. Maybe you can help her get her feelings out and feel better about her dad.
Hope that helps a little, and maybe some more opinons will be on board soon.
