I thought it might be helpful to others, and myself to have BS' (I guess remorseful WS'too)write what helps keep them encouraged, sane, hopeful and happy (or at least one of the above)in times of hopelessness or anger
For me:
*Posting here of course.
*Singing along to REALLY loud music.
*Reading helpful books. SAA, divorce busting,
*Talking to friends.
*Indulge in eating out.
*Exercise!! (especially after eatting out )
The more active ones are hard to do when depressed admittedly, but they all help keep me moving.
How about you?

OK, the following help me,too:
*Posting here
*Singing along to REALLY loud music.
*Reading helpful books. SAA, divorce busting,
*Talking to friends
PLUS:
* Taking a nice, hot bubble bath w/candles burning all around and soft music playing in the other room
* Putting on something very soft, sexy, luxurious, and crawling into my nice, cleanly sheeted bed and drifting off to sleep
Ahhhhhh!

HI, I am glad to see this topic... I am again trying to recharge... things are going a bit better... but still iffy... if OW would just GO AWAY!!!! I think she is getting a little tired of being the OW!
I do not think she is going to leave her H, and I do not think my H really wants her... it is just some kind of bull**** that happened... I DONT know... at least I do not even want to think about it.
I am trying not to talk to my H about ow...
because as you see here... when I get on OW subject, I start to come apart.. and lose it.
I too, need to beat up a pillow and imagine it is her...
HEY< I have been throwing darts with my H, he loves it, and OW introduced him to this new hobby, which he is into, which does not help his drin king habits, and his need to be with his family... he will start to miss us... but anyway...
1. It is fun to throw darts and imagine it being her.... I seem to have quit a good aim...!!
OK, what else
2. I like to work, and that helps, right now I have too much work to do and not enough time.
3. I like to play with kids.
4. I like to watch movies..
5. I like to take my kids places.
6. I like to plan my future... with or without him... as I still want to take care of me with or without him.
7. posting here.
8. I like to do my nails.
9. Go and get my nails done, and of course a spa pedicure.
10. exercise... I have not done enough of this but I am really working on it!
11. I love to read, and the affair help books are great... I have also been reading a book called dr. phil's RELATIONSHIP RESCUE... and it is all about my part in the problems, and so I can work on me,... when I read the book.
12. I am trying to take better care of me, and working hard on getting organized.
13. I I like to go to church.
14. I really like getting more spiritual.
15. I do yoga.
16. I pray.
17. I go to alanon, my H drinks to much, and sometimes I drink too much too.
18. I clean.
19. My like ff is so full right now, I barely hacly have enough time for anything, and I can promise you it is much better this way, than sitting here and crying my eyes and heart and soul out. or obsessing over this.
20 WOrking on having dignity
21. talking to frineds, and some other friends I have made who are going through this too.
HUGS< I think I even have more, but something is up with the is board, adn making this posting bizarre.

Good ones all...
Don't know if getting the nails done would help me much
I LIKE the punching the pillow part thats fun...
And good point on church & prayer.
Even if you arent very religious, it can't hurt right? The thought of having someone (God) there for you through it all is nice, though I will admit I have had a few "arguments" with him about the whold thing.
Hmm it seems that a lot of people like singing!
What's your favorite song to sing to? I admit my tastes have gotten a little odd. When angry/sad I have started liking angry loud music like Nickleback You remind me. "this time I'm mistaken for handing you a heart worth breaking." is a good line. Definately not my normal music but its nice to have something you can play loud and feel in your gut.
One more thing to add:
Hugs from friends are a GREAT when feeling down too.
[ January 28, 2002: Message edited by: HangingIn ]
