Hi,
Wanted to share this little bit of a confusion that seems to hit at all levels of our lives.
It was kind of funny and just makes you go hmm.........

In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed through our
own stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods.
On a Sears hairdryer:
"Do not use while sleeping."
(Gee, that's the only time I have to work on my hair.)
On a bag of Fritos:
"You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside."
(The shoplifter special)
On a bar of Dial soap:
"Directions: Use like regular soap."
(And that would be how ...?)
On some Swanson frozen dinners:
"Serving suggestion: Defrost."
(But its "just" a suggestion)
On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom):
"Do not turn upside down."
(Too late!)
On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding:
"Product will be hot after heating."
(As night follows day . . .)
On packaging for a Rowenta iron:
"Do not iron clothes on body."
(But wouldn't this save me more time?)
On Boot's Children Cough Medicine:
"Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this
medication."
(We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we
could just get those 5-year-olds with head-colds off those forklifts.)
Lesson learned? If it doesn't make sense, ask.
At least where the manufacturers are concerned!??!? LOL!!!
L.

Orchid,
H and I had purchased a tension-type curtain rod a few years ago. We couldn't figure out how to work the darn thing, it just wasn't behaving like most rods do. So finally we both got the directions out and H reads the first line, typed in bold..."Step One, STOP PULLING!" We both laughed so hard! It was cute!
HbH,
I like to think that HERE we could say that it sounds like the OP thinking these things up. I am trying to point out how a simple statement like that can get WS's feathers all ruffled. I know you were simply reacting to this funny, nonsensical way of thinking, but lets use our enemies as the target, please?
