Tiny dancer,
Boy, no one wants to touch this question, huh? With Valentines coming up, I don't know what to do either, sorry I can't be of more help. I do remember someone saying something about hallmark cards. They say they have one for every occasion. Good luck!

When H and I were separated, I found a great card that I sent to him via snail mail. It was from the "I miss you" section.
Actually... I'll post it here for you:
Ever since you've been gone...
I miss you in the morning when I wake up all alone...
I miss you when I'm working and you call me on the phone...
I miss you in the evening when I'm trying to unwind...
I miss you late at nighttime when you're still fresh in my mind...
I miss you on the weekends when I really want to play...
I miss you during holidays (including Groundhog Day!)...
I've missed you every moment ever since we've been apart...
What I'm really trying to say is: I miss you with all my heart.
By the way.. it's a Carlton Card! (in the Marketplace series).
H and I were back together again by our anniversary, but Father's Day came before that. The gift I bought for him was a book. He adores sci-fi and star trek, and the book I got is all about how Star Trek has affected the real world. It was something I KNEW he'd love, and something I know damn well that NONE of his OW would know to get for him.
Is there anything truly personal between you and your H that you, and probably ONLY you know about that you could work into a gift somehow? Or perhaps just something you've always wanted to get for him, but never got around to getting? That might be the best place to start.
Good luck, and let us know what you come up with - or at least brainstorm here some more until you do find something. I have been sending my H i miss you cards, and I love you type cards.. there are even cards.. on hard times in relationships.. out there.. I shopped at the grocery store and at hallmark storres and at drugstores.. he has gotten quite a few from me, and I think he likes that... also.. buy him soemthing he likes... like suggested above.. this is what I did for christmas.. he loves to fish, I bought a fishing pole set.. his place he lives in right now.. has cold wood floors.. I bought him a nice pair of slippers (I also found both of these items on sale at a discount store, as I wasnt splurging my limited funds for a family of 3, on HIM! , but I still love him.. ) and guess what... OW gave him nothing for christmas, she spent it with her H, big LB for her.. ! I guess it wasn't meant to be, right?
If you want him back be sweet, and give something thoughtful that shows you care about him.. this is what a lot of WS seem to want.. personal attention and TLC.. that is why thaey went to another for personal attention adn tlc... insecure and needy they are, right?// At least my WS is... he is very needy ==
He is touched by the cards, and letters I send.. .and even books.... one of spiritual and bible verses for marriage,.. he loves...
Anyway.. he still has his bad days...
but he was teasing me that the OW send letters too, funny it was a joke.. he really likes mine, and she hasnt sent a one.. guess who really loves him? Could it be the wife, the one who had his basbies, and has known him for 18 yrs???
Hugs to you! How do we put up with this???
Hugs, HONEY

ps , since my S and I do have sf.. I bought him a romantic game for valentines that is suppossed to build intimacy and closeness of sf nature.. I know he will love it, I ordered it on the web... of of a link on msn.com of top 20 valentines gifts for men... I think it came from redenvelop.com and was $35, with shipping, they wrap and mail! I know he will just love it! But he has been acting bad today, and i wonder if I jumped the gun mailing it to him.. but he did ask me out for valentines.. and ow is fading.. he has not had contact for 2 weeks... I am suspecting he may of talked to her today, since he has been very mean to me all day long! We had to communicatre regarding our kids.. who are at his house tongiht... and I keep doing everything wrong according to him!!! He calls and screams at me.. about what I do wrong... and I patiently say, please do not yell at me.. I cannot talk to you if you are yelling at me...
OH my, I think I want to marry a grown up! Our anniversary is on Valentine's Day yuck! I'm still racking my brain thinking of something, although the poison ivy sounds like a really good idea hehe
Cards are out of the question because this all began when I found cards from the OW. Since then I can't bear to go into card shops and I avoid the card aisles in every store.
Even with out a spouse being a cheater, I think men are hard to buy anniversary gifts for. I'm going to look at some jewelry today and hopefully find something. Thanks everyone for your suggestions
