Just wondering how all the other BS will be handling Valentine's Day.
I plan on sending a simple card. I sent my WW a flower arrangement for Christmas along with a letter reaffirming my love and what I had accomplished so far in my MB counseling. She went ballistic. That was actually a good thing.
So I'm not going overboard this time. I may ask her if she would let me take her and our two daughters out to a nice restaurant since it is her week with the girls.
What are everyone else's plans?
[ February 11, 2002: Message edited by: Always Hopeful ]

I'll be serving dinners to lots of swooning couples in an elegantly romantic setting. I'll stand by and smile as the newly enfianced embrace and kiss. I'll do a lot of sighing and probably have to fight back a tear or two. Theses are always beautiful moments to witness. And after the meal I'll DROP THE CHECK WITH THE GUY AND ASK THE GAL IF EVERYTHING WAS SATISFACTORTY!!!! Hate to be a downer to those not in recovery,
My former WW and I are going to hotel with Jacuzzi. Nice lobster dinner (for her - I plan on something lighter). No kids.
Still have to get her card and ring.
This will be the first V day that we have spent alone together and will probably be the most romantic since we have been married. Always had kids, money concerns, etc. Pushed money concerns off till next month (there will always be bills) and kids are old enough to be on their own.

I took her to a pre-valentines getaway last weekend at a bed-and breakfast spa.. I tried to make it so it wouldnt be too much as it wasnt V-day. It might have been a bit much a bit too soon, though it was not a disaster.
For V-day I am just sending flowers, candy and a little stuffie to her work. We have reservations at a nice italian restaurant for the evening. I was planning on jewelry to replace a locket she had lost, with a small book of poetry I had written for her. But as she got upset and crying when she found and read one of the poems I accidently left out, I might hold off on those parts. Sigh. She said the poetry was really sweet, but she was upset because she did not feel the same way about me.
Recovery is rough.

Going to join marriage counseling (it will not likely be pretty). My buddy jokingly refered to it as "Black Thursday."
[ February 12, 2002: Message edited by: Longing ]

For Black Thursday (I LOVE that!) I will be whisking off to the airport to pick up a friend whom I haven't seen in 10 years. We're going to check into our posh hotel (which I managed to get at an amazingly cheap price through a friend!), then go to the Tate Modern to see the Andy Warhol exhibit. Then probably scrounge whatever we can to eat since it's like pulling teeth getting reservations anywhere on V-night. Then out clubbing! I'm really looking forward to it!
He'll be here until next week, so I've got 5 fun-filled days to try and not think about the fact that my WH will be shagging OW all weekend. God, give me strength!
For V-day I bought my H a 12" silver arrow that you can put a rolled up note inside. Have found some lovely song lyrics to write on there. Also a book of naughty stories which I will write on the inside, "Can't wait to read these with you!" I figure that way, he won't take the book with him on his weekend w/ OW. Still haven't figured out when I'm going to give these things to him, as I leave on Thursday morning.
VE

Venus, too bad you can't arrange to have the stuff delivered by messenger at precisely the moment he and OW might be together.
Snow

Well,
Considering the fact that this Valentines is the 10th Anniv. of our 1st date and considering the fact that my H is looking for an apartment, I am doing the one thing I have done every year for 10 years. Giving him a heart shaped box of chocolites. (H is a choc o holic) and a card. In the past there have also been wonderfull romantic dinners, speacail extra gifts, but always the box of chocs. I am expecting nothing in return.
Oh yeah, I think I'll plan on spending some time crying while he's at work.
I know. Pity party for me..
