Oh boy, H & I went out on our 1st date! Hm..... dinner and a movie but what a movie. If you haven't seen the clips yet, this movie deals with real life issues of medical insurance coverage and hospitals.
I recommend it for couples to see it together. This is not an A related subject but a truly family subject. It should make the WS think (note I say should - can't make them think right?!?!?).
Emotionally intense and the reality hits right at the heart. Moves the gray cells and stimulates thinking and conversation. Isn't that what we have been trying to do with our mates?
L.

I just got back from a matinee of John Q with my H and I agree completely with you Orchid. What an awesome movie and what a way to stimulate conversation with a spouse.

Okay - dumb question here but RestoringMyMarriage aren't you Honey? And if so aren't you still married? I am referring to where you said
"he is awesome for us single girls.. gives us something to look at- eh?"
Oh and by the Kevin movie wasn't very good. Stick with John Q

Weeeellll.... and the following is my very HUMBLE opinion... okay... maybe not so humble... and very opinionated
While the subject matter would be riviting... I just wish that John Q would not be a Black man... seems like so many movies perpetuate the stereotype that the only way a Black man can beat the system is by breaking the law... DRIVES me CRAZY... I've seen preview for another movie where Samuel L. Jackson (another poor Black man down on his luck) is trying to outsmart a White corporate/lawyer type--Ben Affleck...
...sorry just had to get it out...
Cali
... & don't get me wrong, I LOVE Denzel...
[ February 24, 2002: Message edited by: Cali ]
