Let me just say that if I'm pregnant, I am going back to work!
I know this may be a little off topic, but I'm supposed to go the dentist Thursday. Today, for several hours now, I have felt sick to my stomach w/o throwing up. I feel hot and tired (though I didn't get much sleep last night.) The thing is, my husband had the op. in September. He hasn't gone back to get checked because of an insurance change. For more on my dentist appointment, see my other post from today. I am going to try to link it. Be back in a minute.

How's this?
http://www.marriagebuilders.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=37&t=015875
It's part of the way down. I think it's my last post. It's pretty long.
More about why I think I'm preg. Last time, I could taste tomatoes without eating them and it made me sick. That happened the other day. I could also taste cinnamon in things that didn't have any, like potato salad. That happened the other night with mashed potatoes. With my last two, I was sick all day every day, but never threw up. I've felt sick since 12:30 today. I took a little nap after school (K doesn't take very long), and woke up sick. Right after I ate breakfast, I started feeling sick. I haven't thrown up and the sickness hasn't gone away. My stomach also isn't churning like when I'm sick. It's just right there, feeling like it's ready to come up. Since I started feeling sick, I've done nothing but sip coke. I also feel weak. If I don't have a temperature, I'm going to take a test. I don't think I posed my question on the post above. Do you think they will take me in the dentist's if I am pregnant under the circumstances?

If you are just going in for a checkup and/or cleaning, with no meds, it should be OK for you to go to the dentist. If you are having fillings or other work, you shouldn't have Novacaine or other meds. During my first pregnancy, I HAD to have some work done, so I went through the whole drilling/filling thing without Novacaine. Luckily, I have a high pain threshold, so it wasn't TOO bad, but it definitely was not fun.

Why not just take a home pregnancy test?

Okay, just so you don't think I'm really stupid... I am having 3 wisdom teeth taken out. One may require bone to be removed. And I said I might take a home preg test if I don't have a fever. I know there was so much else to read and didn't call it anything but a test. Just thought I'd point that out so you don't think, "What a dingy she is. She won't even take a test." Thank you, Clueless and J-C. It actually turns out that my friend called me with some similar symptoms to what I've been experiencing since HS. I've had heart palpitations and weakness, plus some breathlessness. The condition she's been diagnosed with can cause strokes and heart attacks in fairly young people. It can also cause nausea, I think. I think I need to see a cardiologist, because I've had several dr's not be able to pick up the palpitations and they cannot find a cause for my anxiety and other symptoms. I know it sounds like I'm in bad shape. Hopefully all this is just bothersome and not extremely serious. However, I know that people with murmurs are supposed to take medication before a visit to the dentist. Anyone else experience something like this?

Does anyone know anything about Supra Ventricular Tachycardia? I did a search and found a message board about it, but no symptoms list. My best friend has been diagnosed with it.

h4f.
I have a heart several heart condtions, mumur, mitro valve leakage something or other. NOthing serious, but when going to the dentist, my Dr would prescribe antibiotics for 1 Week prior to the appt. Something about all the crap that goes down your throat during dental procedures and the threat of infection. I was told that you can take most kind of antibiotics while pregnant, and I did for the dental work. I had a beautiful healthy baby.
But plz be on the safe side. See your Dr before your dentist!!
Susan

Thank you Scared, how are you doing? I'm not so sure I'm pregnant. I have a lot of things going on it seems. The nausea passed the next day but my tummy feels a little weak today. I don't know what's going on. I got a script from the doc, that I have to pick up. I am NOT looking forward to my extractions tomorrow. I may not post at all tomorrow. (and some wipe their brows and say, "Whew!" You all take care.
