I was referring to all the Newbies above and beyond the Redbook folks.
ALL are VERY welcome!!!
I was getting frustrated because I wanted to respond to all the posts but didn't have time. Was doing some on-the-fly triage.
Jo

Resilient, did you get a chance to read Talitha Cumi story? I think it would answer your question to your post a couple days ago.
I've beeen reading mmseekingadvice Its really hard when I have been on this site since about June to give constructive advise. I just get so numb to it all. I just want to stamp him with a big fat "A" on his clothes then a big fat "L" on his forhead. and say NEXT?! I am sorry, it just his story is here over and over and over and over again. Yet then a new person comes a long and says "no this is different, its not the same". I have no problem with WS who are in recovery it is the ones who come to the "MarriageBuilders" site looking for permission to continue their EA.
Just had to vent somewhere and picked your thread.

I'll go read that post now, ILNPM.
I know what you mean about reading the WS's posts when they are still justifying their A, it really can weigh on your patience, but remember, we all make mistakes, and admitting it is not easy. Plus, they (WS) did come here, so they must know it isn't RIGHT, right?
Jo
[ February 27, 2002: Message edited by: Resilient ]

To add my 2 cents into this conversation, I just goto home!!! Can't do this at school!!
This is home to many of us and we feel ohhhh soooo comfortable here with our friends.....and with so many new members showing up at the same time it does feel a little overwelming as many of us (Resilient and Orchid are kind of like the family patriachs here!!! )like to welcome each and everyone of you to our home......It's kind of like when you have to attend a function of some type and no one acknowledges your presence or at the same function someone comes up and introduces themselves and says "Welcome" you just feel better.......well that is what we want you to fell here!! (Resiliant, Calif, Zorweb, Orchid, Faith 1, Wat would have said it more elaqouently, but I type like I talk)
So anyway Welcome to you all, come on in and sit for a spell!!!!!
Dawn

Ok, howz about a plan of action here guys n gals?!?!? I can try to at least post to about 2 on JFO and 2 on plan a/b. If I can encourage them to GQII, then they will have more support.
Also if we as a group could collectively encourage them to read the posts by onegoing/nsr/williamJ or mine (the monster one) and keep those in the forefront of the thread then the newbies will have the tools infront of them. We can guide, support and direct but they must make the effort also.
Another suggestion is that we ask for their feedback after they have read the info. One of most helpful threads to me were the ones that kept me on track by those who actually quoted from the books, EN questionnaire, etc. I miss those posters. Some are still around but basically we have gotten away from that habit. It is a good one to start again.
Some of our good book posters are Cali and BR, who among the newer ones show strength in that direction? Maybe we can encourage them. We are helping families and lives here. Not trying to be heros just lessening the pain.
What do you all think?
JMHO,
L.
