Can I join in?
........I just met with the developers to go over some system enhancements that would reduce our workload...... may get more storage equipment and some temp relief help.
Ok....that's work but it is a nice thing. My staff has been working very very hard and deserve a break.
Yep, I already did the manager moral booster things but always feel the need to do more.
On the homefront, better relationship between father and son. H getting a dose of reality seeing his son give him similar reactions. Hm............. I get to sit back and watch.
Oh yea, we are doing more fun stuff. Making rockets and blowing them up...... Addam's family?!?!? Nah. Science project. boy the things one can do with vinegar, baking soda and an empty soda liter bottle!!! This is my kind of thread. Thanks Katie, for starting it. Here's 2 nice things that immediately come to my mind:
My nephew turns 4 next week. My B and SIL are having a party with balloons, cake, toy trains, and other children. I can't wait!
I scored a goal in my ice hockey game Sunday night. This is a big deal for me, since it's my first ever season of organized hockey. In case anyone wonders, 30 is definitely NOT too old to take up a new sport!
BTW, it makes me feel good to read everyone's happy thoughts. It's nice to know that happiness is always within our reach.
BP

Well...
We finally sent out our immigration papers yesterday. What does this mean? It means that in 45-90 days I can get health coverage and a work visa. What does that mean? I can get the mamo I'm late on and LOOK FOR A JOB!!!!!
I am sitting in a nice warm apartment with my cat, waiting for my H to get home. I'm sipping on a special blend of coffee I made today at the market.
I needed to share Katie. Thank you!

My H wrote me a note Saturday when he left the house before the boys and I got home... I can count on one hand the number of times he's left me a note about his whereabouts.
My H got mad at me for driving the car in the rain because it needs break work... again... NOT something he usually worries about... even his mom noticed.
My kids are singing Bible songs right now w/ their grandmother (H's mom).
I go for a second interview tomorrow for a new job. I am nervous... but prepared and pretty confident. It is slightly outside the box of teaching...
Hugs to all!

The sun is shining and it is going to soar to 70 deg today.
My H has been fixing me breakfast every morning. For my birthday he sent me a happy birthday email, took me out for dinner and ordered me a coat (which he tried to hide not knowing that I had already seen the email, but I won't let on that I know!), and he baked me a birthday pie (my request, but special because he actually took the time AND remembered).
I am happy, life is not perfect, but a whole lot better.

A new day. It's 8 degrees out, new fluffy snow, another 6-8 inches predicted. The trees, houses, cars, roads are silver-coated, clean-white and beauty everywhere I look.

I was very, very tired when I got home last night. It was about an hour and a half until I had to pick up my son so I decided to take a nap.
I walked through the door, dropped all of my things in the door way, undressed as I walked down the hall and fell into bed.
Nice thing #1-BF came home and said "you're tired - here" and gave me a really nice back rub. I didn't even have to ask
Nice thing #2-I can't tell you what else he gave me, but trust me. It was niiiiiicccce!
Some days I really dig this monogamy thing!

Just had to add about last night. The kids and I went out to Pizza Hut for dinner, and it started raining on the way home. By the time we got home, it was pouring! My S had left his bike in the front, so it was getting soaked, and I made him take it to the back, where it belongs. My D went to open the gate for him, and I held the screen door to the lanai(enclosed porch) open, then took the lock back to the gate. So, we were all three soaked. Then, I got Abbi out of the van, and I sat on the front porch swing, while she stood near the waterfall coming off the roof! She had such fun, putting her hand under the water, and it wasn't cold. We stayed out there for about 20 min, and that made all 4 of us soaked! But, it was a lot of fun to watch Abbi play with the water!

Hey Alberta, I just have to ask you this question since your name intrigues me and I'm sitting here in this -20 weather as well. Does your name have anything to do with where you live?
And even though it's freezing outside and we sure won't be seeing any spring flowers for a long time, I'm still happy, my mom is coming to visit us on Sunday! DH talked her into it with the promise of tickets all week to a big curling event. Yeah!! And I know that DS will be able to talk her into making us some perogies, double yeah!! bumping back up
I went with some friends to a Contra Dance Saturday nite. Not a normal kinda thing for me... hehe... but it was fun! It's kind of like Square Dancing, but a little different. It's more like you're in 2 lines facing each other, and you learn all these various moves and steps, and move up and down the lines, dancing with a new partner, then alternating going back to your own partner. It's kinda corny, but good clean platonic fun. and great exercise whew!

I will be winging my way to New Mexico for a 4-day visit with my grandson (Oh, yeah, my son, too. ; So, I'm a shamelessly devoted grandma. ) We are going to get him a swingset for his yard at Daddy's house.
Plus, I'm going shopping. I LOVE native American jewelry!

Those wood ones are so cool, some of them have that clubhouse effect. Boys love that.
Isn't it New Mexico that has those hot air balloon races? Albuquerque I think.
Jo
