This has hoax written all over it.

I dunno okie, my hoax radar is pretty good, and I contemplated that, but it rings true to me...all the nuances, everything between the words is consistent with the descriptive facts, I found nothing out of pattern, or jarring....but I could be wrong.

I have seen tremendous bizarre occurances in the military. You name it I have seen it. Unless this person has been living under a rock for over sixteen years, she could get a tremendous amount of support from the military. Not to mention her husband is violating the UCMJ (adultery), don't know his rank but it could also be conduct unbecoming an officer, she'll get half of his retirement (if he is now able to retire) and she is making some incorrect assumptions on her benefits.
The wives networks are very close. Information there abounds.

she mentioned she is not vested yet in his retirement (2 more years) that is a significant datum, not widely known, and a strong pressure not to rock the boat (maybe even the primary one, survival is a strong motivator)...and she seems to exhibit a lot of the dependent behaviour of women who have lost their identity and sense of worth into a man, he is calling the shots, whether there or not...ya know? Going to the "officials" opens a huge can of worms she probably wants to avoid...and she has the vexing problem of having originally condoned this woman (and kids) living with her...it is a mess, and just seems to convoluted to be phoney.....the truth usually is stranger than fiction....and that is true in spades here....I cannot believe half the stuff I read here is real, but it must be.....sometimes just reading this site makes me want to be a monk, and forget everything about relationships [img]images/icons/smile.gif" border="0[/img] <p>but oh well, maybe you are right, I hope so..one less thing to worry over, and I would love to be able to say yep, okie, you were right and I was wrong [img]images/icons/wink.gif" border="0[/img]<p>[ March 08, 2002: Message edited by: sad_n_lonely ]</p>
