Keep in mind your son is YOUR SON. Nothing will change that. He loves you and his loyalty will always be with you and his father. When times are tough for me that is what I try to remember and it helps. Remember also, God feels your pain and promises that the "winter storm will soon be over and for those who believe spring flowers will follow."

Hi sing - I understand your sadness and frustration, but I agree with hopenden. As long as you love him, you will be his only Mom and no one can take that from you.
Dave

Sing,
I’m so sorry to hear your pain. But like Hopenden said your son is still your son no matter what. If you can, after he gets home, try to have fun with him on his birthday. Make the best out of it. Like they said the one who clapped last heard the most.
{{{{{{{{{{Sing}}}}}}}}}} to you and Happy Birthday to your son.
Take care.

My Dear Sing,
You are his mom and no one not can replace you. Part of growing up is seeing out children do things away from us. He is young still and in your eyes always be your baby. My heart aches for your pain.
Heres a {{{hug}}} . Have fun when he gets home.
L.

Sing ....
You're his Mom and can NEVER be replaced. Nothing or no one can ever come between the love of a Mom and her son. He will always be YOUR baby, ALWAYS.
Please don't cry .... this too shall pass.
Love you,
Jo

Thanks Dave, OOOO, JO, Orhcid, my friends and you too Hopenden.
Funny I don't worry about the OW taking my place in the boys life at all. She is nothing to them. My boys & I are for the most part pretty tight. and the STBX may not love me but he would not try to put OW in my place, in fact he has basically told her that in that area I wouldn't even consider her a threat (she has problems with this with her D & her X's SO)
I just MISSED him so much this morning. He is the greatest kid. As his brother says he can be the most annonying creature on the face of the earth but there is just something about him. He still likes to cuddle.
But I called him and wished him a happy day. Now to make the dirt, then off to class.
Thanks again for lifing my spirits. At least it is not longer a daily, hourly event.

Poor thing. Bless your heart. I haven't had one of these experiences yet, but one day I know I will have to handle it, and I will just sit and cry too.
I hope you are doing better.
We put worms in our dirt. My son likes to have his dirt served in flower pots. Same there?
hug to you hon
Elizabeth

I don't think that the actual day of the birthday is what you need to focus on. How about all of the days since his last birthday? I bet you have some GREAT memories of your 'cuddler'. No one else, especially not your xH and the OW, has those memories. Just you, and your son.
I hope you had a great night tonight with your boys. Mine were in bed sound asleep by 7:30pm... so I had a fantastic night!
Karen

Good morning Sing,
I missed your post yesterday. How did the day go?
You know, there is something very special about the bond between a mother and son. Your time with him will be just as special as if he had been there first thing in the morning.
Hope you are feeling better today.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Sing}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
I can understand how you feel. I think it would drive me up the wall as well.
YS won't think any less of you because you didn't get to tell him Happy B-Day before the OW. When you tell him you will get something she NEVER will get. You know what I am talking about. It is the look on a childs face that only a parent can get from a child. The look of complete and total love. The look of a heart that belongs only to a mother.
Be strong and get ready for those looks you already know YS will shower you with.
jd
