My WW 40th birthday will be coming up this week. I know this will be a rough time for her. There was so much I had planned for this over the past few years before her A had started. Now that we are separated, I know there is only so much she will allow me to do.
Has anyone else gone through this period with their WS? Any ideas would be welcome...

Always Hopeful I really don't have any good advice. What were you planning before the A? How much will she allow you to do? Have you discussed it with her at all? I'm sorry for your pain.

My H cheated on me in July 01. I found out Aug. )1 his brithday is at the end of Aug. Well, before I found out I bought him this radio that does not need batteries, and had planned or just us to spend a night at the lake. Even after I found out I still went and bought the beer, made his favorite sandwiches, got a small cake, etc.... I thought well, I needed this also. I was not going to let him mess up the plans I made again. So, I did not tell him were we were going. After we got there he said it was to hot lets just go home I said no. You are not going to mess up my plans. So, we stayed the night at a hotel. Nice but it was hard. Really really hard. That is what I did.

Always hopeful,
Do what you think she will let you do, what is that?
I probably wouldn't do the black balloons and all that stuff. But I would send a card or flowers with a nice note, not mushy just sincere.
I had to go through my 20th anniversary, seperated but in the same house and now will go through our 21st anniversary alone, am not sure what I will do this year. Last year I left a card in his car, nothing mushy or sloppy, just sincere, it was an important day and I had the right to acknowledge it the way I choose and so do you. Best of luck to you, let us know what you do do for her.
Dawn
