After 1 year of marriage, I have decided to give up on it. My story:
Constant arguing about sex and intimacy for the past few months. Husbands decided he wants out of the marriage and moves out March 1st. Found out March 3rd husband is addicted to porn and had this same problem in his first marriage Have not communicated with husband since March 3rd. Husband has continued to pay bills at our home. Found out thru is grandmother March 29th that husband has not filed for divorce and wants to allow the Lord to work things out between us.
Over the past month I have had a lot of time to think and work on myself which I am still doing. I don't trust my husband due to him walking out on his first wife and now me. I cannot be in a marriage with no trust. I don't even want to talk to him at this point. I am filing for divorce. Help?
[ April 01, 2002: Message edited by: morton ]

Morton,
I believe in marriage and that most people get Dv too quickly. But in your case I would say "Run for the hills!!!"
If that is your husband's pattern now, it is unlikely that he will change (not impossible) Your H has shown lack of committment and trust. Better to learn that early in M.
I've been reflecting on my own relationship with my MH, and there were signs and problems early on. I was knowlegeble, or willing or whatever to deal with it when they popped up. Now, I wish I had, may not be where I am today.
Keep posting and reading this site, so that you can use this as learning experience and not repeat the same. You don't say whether you are younger or older, first M or not.
God Bless

WILLGETTHRUTHIS, Thanks for your reply. I feel the same way but I still love him. I was trying to hold on due to my religious beliefs but no more.

Well Morton, if your H does want to come back. What terms will you consider accepting him on?
Write it down and then write a list of unacceptable terms. Then compare the 2 and visit an MC. Maybe even give Steve or Jennifer a call.
You may be right to leave now. It is up to you.
Take care and choose wisely. L.
