Maybe I'm going out on a limb here... There was a get together a few weeks (months?) back that the Chicago-area MBers organized and a good time was had by all. I would LOVE to participate in something similar up in this neck of the woods (Pacific North-West). Anyone game for an unusual, perhaps bonding, night or afternoon out? Put some faces to the names we know too well? Dinner at the top of the Space Needle? Lunch at Salish Lodge, overlooking the falls? A morning at Krispy Kreme in Issaquah, kvetching over coffee and doughnuts? Maybe we could all wear cameras around our necks and pretend we're tourists at the Pike Place Market?
Snow

We did it here in the DC area last June and also had a good time. Just prior to that I mentioned our plans to Steve H. and he recommended, ah, er, "caution" with regard to our "vulnerabilities." Guess he's right, but we behaved.
WAT

Awh.......... we have krispy kremes down here but no space needle and the water falls are far away (Yosemite - trigger place)!!
I think it is a great idea but understand the caution. I think there are a few more up your way.
Wish we could do a get together down here but with my crazy schedule it would have to be in my office! LOL!!! Just kidding.
Let us know when maybe we can hook up and say Hi!!!
L.

OH I AM SO PI@@ED OFF I DONT LIVE THERE! You think your so special with all your neat things to do there, oooh space needle and kvetching?!? All I would have to offer is a trolley ride to the old governors mansion (well really its just an old house). Well anyone for Savannah? You know I love you smartypants. Maybe one day I will fly out for a weekend. Oh also I am going on a cruise in June if anyone is interested. Just the girls, so as not to be tempted!

Shoulda known you'd pop in here curious princess! Lots to do yes, but it seems there's just me, Jo and Lora. But it sounds like if we include enough fun stuff to do we could entice Orchid up. I know there are a few more of us up here, it's just getting them to crawl out of the woodwork...
Jo, since you popped in first, what would YOU like to do?
Hey, Princess, I'm going to be in your neighborhood around the second week of July. What's fun to do in Atlanta? Snow

She said, well let's see, what could I show him around town.......Oh, I know, I could show him around the "Ben Franklin" store. ROTFLMAS!!!!!!!!!! I about died, or the time my aunt took her grandchild to the old folks home as it was the only place in town that had an elevator and she wanted her grandaughter to experience going on an elevator!!!!
The only thing we have here is Nature... I could do one in the south. San Antonio has the Tower of Americas, the Alamo, The RiverWalk with lots of restaurants. Taco Cabana (Mexi Fast Food) Margaritas. YumYum!! It is the right time now. Wildflowers a pleanty. BlueBonnets, Indian PaintBrushes, Flox, Primrose..... I would love to meet some fellow MBers. I could be a tourist guide for at least 4, maybe more depending on who decides to drive.
