I had the weirdest dreams last night and I can't stop analysing it.
I hired a red ferari (Forgiver's post may have stuck in my head). I was driving it and very happy to be in control. I had my husband on my left side and Brad Pitt(!!) on my right.
The analysis I've come up with:
My H on my left (left side of brain is the thinking, analysing side-have I got this right?) this is my logic thinking of my H as the person he is to me-conservative, logical the stability bit.
BP on the right (creative side of brain) is me thinking I'd like my H to be a bit more of a fantasy, more carefree, etc, etc (if he ever decides to come back to the marriage).
OR
maybe I'm analysing whether to stay or go in the relationship. ie staying with H would be the "right" thing to do.
The other dream I had was about putting on lipstick - really weird.
ideas anyone, this is purely for fun, I'm not hanging any major decisions on this!!

Seahorse;
I dream but normal dreams but I've had two weird dreams myself. The first one was with my dad who had been dead since 92. I was in an office building standing in front of a elevator waiting for it to come down. I notice in my dream that the wall had small blue 1" tile covering it. I stepped into the elevator and it automatically went up.When the doors open it open to the veiw of the family farm when I was a kid. The veiw was of the back of the barn from a fair distance and at the back was the vegetable garden that was there in the late sixties. My dad was weeding the garden with a hoe. I walked up and asked him what he was doing here. He told me I was on the right track and to keep it up.That's all he said and went back to work and I woke up. That was two years ago and I had just got my divorce and started a relationship with my GF. Whether it was a message from beyond, from God or just me I don't know but it was so vidid and real. Ever since I"ve had this feeling that this relationship I'm in is right and was meant to be. My dad was not a guy who minched words, either it was right or it was wrong, no grey areas with him.
The other dream was about my GF. In my dream she came up to me and annouced she was pregeant. The next day she asked me if I would consider having another child before I was too old. weird eh? I wasn't even thinking of that at anytime up till then.
Analysing to this thing to dead doesn't help, I've just learned to accept it as some kind of advice sent to me from god know's where and I've tried to following. But I still have this feeling that i am beening told to stick with it. Not so much in words but something I can not explain.
Anyways have fun with it and keep an open mind, It maybe you had one too many peices of chocolate that night(smile)
231
[ April 07, 2002: Message edited by: 231 ]
[ April 07, 2002: Message edited by: 231 ]

Hmmmmm Liz, for fun, right?
OK, well, I dunno about this left side, right side thingy for you. I mean, you ARE down under so maybe it's reversed? And, it is true, isn't it, that your light switches are also upside down? Down is on and up is off? Throw in the added dimension of driving on the left, your dream involves a car, and I'll bet either your H or Brad is a lefty. So, could be that your dream represents the question, "Why, when you look in a mirror, does it switch left and right, but not top and bottom?"
Hope this helps.
WAT

Dream analysis! Cool!
Well, I heard that dreams are the accumulation of thoughts that you have had recently, within the past week. I can usually spot elements that I thought of or encountered recently and sometimes even come up with a solution about my feelings on that subject.
Instance:
My friend's brother's wife cheated on him. She had a 4yo son when they got together 4 years ago. The mother is mistreating him, along with her boyfriend, and the brother doesn't want him. My friend wants him and he looks as though he would fit in their family.
So, I had a dream about a mutual friend of ours that she had been raped and was now preg. The rapist/father was either black or Jewish(?), and then Jerry Stiller came in. I wanted to adopt the baby.
Okay, see where the adoption thing comes in? I don't know about the rape thing, she just had surgery, could that be it? The Jerry Stiller thing could've been from my visit with my Uncle. He asked me if I watch CBS Mondays. I said that I didn't really. But that I could see my H in Kevin James once in a while.
Now there is another serious element to this dream. Because of the pregnancy, my friend, who is the nursery coord. at our church, quit the job, and I was thinking of taking it, or was it that I had taken a co-position and needed her guidance. Now, I don't honestly think I could do the job, right now. I have 3 little ones and no one's there on Sundays to take care of them, plus you have to recruit helpers and that's not my bag. But I was wondering if I'm jealous or something? The thing is, we have so much in common. Our H's went to the same small trade school, for the same thing. She had the same beef with her H that I've had with mine, re work hours and she had an affair. I didn't but there were a few opportunities (limited by my conscience).
I think this is too deep to analyze by one dream. Here, let me go back to bed and I'll let you know what I come up with. (Now what would my 1yo do during that time?)
Hoping

Not had much experience of dream annalysis so don't know how to interpret the dreams here but would be interested in any comments on the one I had last night. I dreamt that the OW came to town to introduce herself to me and say it was over with H. Then I was with H and we were making love and I was having a great orgasm, at which point I woke up!
Is it just wishful thinking on my part or is there more to it than that. Jante

Seahorse!
I say go out and cruise around! Do it for yourself! My h says he's coming home April 22. I was going to lease a Ferrari but he said he is bringing his dog home too. No room for a dog crate in a Ferrari! But maybe a Hummer? Hmmmmmmm.. Another idea.
If my H comes home or does not at some point I will Lease a Ferreri or maybe a Lamborguini or something like that-just for the fun of it. Perhaps I will buy myself a little wild, yet affordable sports car. Although I do have a newfoundland and 2 Jack Russells-can't haul them or garbage in a sportscar! That was my plan before A (Actually I was going to buy a new Jeep or Land Rover). I'll have my own mid life crisis! Although to me it is a Mid Life LIBERATION! This Plan A stuff is great.
I forget who is sitting where in your dream. Left/ right, are you in the middle? Those cars are small, there is no middle seat. You're sitting with the stick shift between your legs? WOAH! Hot dream... whose shifting? Any way I'm getting crazy here (New me peeking out) I think the dream means...
You are in control. You are driving. You are taking charge of your life and deciding for yourself what is going to happen. Your H is in the passanger seat. He is at your mercy... to drive him anywhere and DROP him anywhere. strand him in the middle of the outback for the dingos. Or to let him stay for the ride. He will have to fix the flats along the way , fill it up with gas, wash your windows etc. all while you sit in the driver's seat, in control.
To me Brad Pitt ( a happily married HOT man)is floating outside your driver door. (he can do that in a dream, he's magical.) He is hovering right along side you. He stands for any dream man you should decide on. The next man in your life worthy to have such an incredible woman such as your fine self!! Brad hovering outside your door, represents that you can pull over and ask your H to get out and let Brad pitt or any wonderful, worhty man you desire get into your passanger seat. It all depends on how long you want to drive around with your h.
Now me as you know I am ok with dragging things out.I realize I am a very patient person. More than I thought. From my situation as you have seen, I am willing to wait.
Especially when I remind myself of Redhat's wisdom and all the statistics. My latest nugget is 3 months after d-day is still the honeymoon period. That's why MB suggests to assess situation 6 months sfter d-day. At 3 months I can expect a backslide. Maybe my H won't come home. Will I call it quits then? NO! I like long drives in nice sports cars.
If I was in your dream with you, I'd be in the next lane from you racing down the road(Probably completely naked and covered in whipped cream and saran wrap after reading all those sex books ) with my h in the passanger seat, Sting and Dave Matthews singing to me on the roof, Ben Affleck as a hood ornament and can I borrow Brad Bitt to float next to me for awhile?
So you know I'm going for a long drive in my ferrari. LOL!
Hang in there BABY! You're doing great!

I always have weird dreams (bottled up creativity, I think). There's an episode of Northern Exposure that I really relate to -- Hollings dreams were "attacking" him. I said, WOAH! Now I can explain it!
I've recently had two dreams that really bothered me -- 2 nights ago I dreamt I was cheating on my husband with a Navy pilot who looked just like him, but was French. The next night I dreamt a character from the novel I am reading broke into the apartment I was living in (I was back in college, but it wasn't the apartment I lived in then) and raped me (he wasn't a very nice character). Surprisingly, the first dream bothered me a lot more than the second.

WAT, its ok mate, we've got it all under control down here, our light switches are fine, the water goes down the plughole the right way and winter is on the way... yuk.
Dedex, you reminded me about dreams I used to have about my H (pre A). I used to dream he was someone else as far as looks or personality, but it was always "him". That's so weird, like I wanted him to be something different (more carefree and creative).
Forgiver, our dingos aren't really that bad, but our sharks can be!! I like your suggestion, I do feel a little more in control, and its ok, you can borrow Brad, but can I have Ben in exchange?
Other dreams I've had are to do with water and feeling like I'm drowning. Waves coming over me or running from tsunamis. I've heard that its when life is overwhelming you have those dreams. Isn't it weird in the midst of the chaos of my situation,I would choose to learn diving during my midlife liberation (I love that Forgiver, hope I can use that)? I've not had a dream about drowning since (because I know I've got my regulator handy) - I'm thinking far too much, better go out and sunbake again!!!
[ April 08, 2002: Message edited by: Seahorse ]
