and hormones don't mix. Can you spell W-E-E-P-Y? A-N-X-I-O-U-S? C-R-A-N-K-Y?
What does a working mom w/ three boys do to escape? I have this irrational urge to run away. Nothing is wrong. Lots of things are right. Like I said, irrational (H-O-R-M-O-N-E-S).
I want to surgically remove my memories which started about a year ago. I want to remember everything I have learned about marriage and relationships, but forget why I had to learn.
I know it will pass. (LOL, it does EVERY month). But what forces were in play for them BOTH to occur THIS week?
I cried going to individual counseling, cried in the session, cried all the way home. I haven't cried in months. IRRATIONAL! HORMONAL.
....Calgon take me away!!!
Cali

Oh yuck Cali, a double whammy
Take the calgon route - a warm bath, some lavender candles and a nice glass of wine. Cry if you want to cry but cry because your life is finally coming back together and you've worked so hard for it and helped so many others while finding your way. Hang in there and remember to smile

(((((( Cali ))))))
Personally, I'm very much looking forward to menopause... hehehe. I'm assuming that once I get on the right bunch of estrogen, that I won't go through the same emotional spurts every month.
Pampering yourself a little bit is a great idea. A bubble bath would be perfect!!! Maybe you should throw in a manicure and/or pedicure too? You deserve it you know!!
I know how you feel about the way we learned our lessons. I would love to go back to the 'ignorance is bliss' stage every now and then.
Karen

Thank you tiny dancer . I was reluctant to post about it, because I felt so silly... things are so good... but I knew someone would help me 'see' w/ new eyes.
WillGetThroughThis ... I will have to check that Happy Camper stuff out... though a coworker reminded me again this month of Seraphem ?(sp)?... a low dose of Prozac, I think used for PMS symptoms...
Topie... maybe we can invent the 'memory' fairy to tap us w/ her magic wand and make them go away, but keep the lessons learned! Thanks for the support.
H was late coming home. Couldn't reach me to tell me he had a meeting. Luckily I kept my mouth shut and let him tell me, and I've been successful keeping my mouth shut all night... He keeps asking me what is wrong... not sure what to tell him... I'm hormonal. D-day anniversary is Thursday. You were late. I had IC today. Everything just kinda snowballed and I was feeling really anxious, cranky and weepy as well as insecure.???
Hugs to all, Cali

Cali,
"I'm hormonal. D-day anniversary is Thursday. You were late. I had IC today. Everything just kinda snowballed and I was feeling really anxious, cranky and weepy as well as insecure.???"
Why don't you try telling him exactly that.
I make an extreme effort to ignore everything during those times of the month. It took me too long to figure out that this was one of those facts of life that neither of us have much control over . I even keep track in my calendar so I don't get taken by surprise.
It really was quite a relief for me to finally understand that her cranky behavior was not intentional.
Jeffers
