Just a shot in the dark BUT just came in from town & H is out when i checked outlook express (which is our shared email) an email came back as returned mail it said it could not b delivered & the following is a transcript of the copy well there was a lot of jargon there then it said in the subject line: Eager to see you Now my H has to have sent this email as it was just after i left for town. The rest of the email was just jumbled up letters & every now & again was a file number that you could click on but when i clicked on it it said cannot find file can anyone help me with this. it's suspicious to me as there is no letter in the sent file or the deleted one.....oh well

You could try running a search of the .dbx files on your system. These are files saved on your C drive by e-mail messages. They also contain a lot of 'jargon' but generally save the message intact. Just press your start button - go to find files and folders and tell your computer to search for the letters dbx on the C drive. Then read the files and see what you find. Good luck to you. -Anna

Hi Wrung,
Well I am just going to bed now after I fold a load of laundry.
I was just waiting for an e-mail response which I just received so I can call it a night. Hope Anna instructions will be helpful, that is where I was thinking you should start looking. Also there are programs you can load on your computer that will track key strokes.
Take a look, I think Redhat posted something like that.
G'Night! L.

Wrungout; Did you note the email address this was sent to? If so, you can create a "rule" in Outlook Express so when an email to or from that address is processed, it'll send a copy to you at another email address (hotmail or yahoo, or whatever.)
If so, here's the procedure: Got to Tools, Message Rules, Mail Make sure you're in the "Mail Rules" tab and click on "New" Click on "where the from line contains people" and on "where the to line contains people" in the first box. and click on "forward it to people" in the second box. Then in the 3rd box, click on both instances of "contains people" and enter the email address, then click on the "and" and select "messages match any one of the criteria". then click on the "people" and enter the email address where you want the copy to be sent. That's it. Now any time an email message comes in or goes out to that email address, a copy will go to your email. Note that if they check the "sent items folder" they will see this has happened, so it's not like they can't find out about this.

Wrungout
Just reading your post and just wanted to let know there is a software that you can load on your computer that is not visible to anyone. It's called INSPECTOR (cost about $69.00). This is use by many companies that have employees using the computers for inapproiate activities. What it does it takes screen shots and (keysrokes to get passwords to emails, files ) of all the sights and files accessed once the computer is turned on. Even in your case when the computer can't find the file. The software will have take screen shots of all the activity on your computer for up to 7 days and save it for 7 days where you can go and review the findings.
To access the information from this program once you set the program up, is with your own password and special keystroke to open and access the program. Once the program is loaded it automatically turns itself on when the computer is turned on, also there is NO visible files
I wish you well.
rosse
[ April 30, 2002: Message edited by: rosse ]

I did the EXACT same thing you did for months, rummaging through the computer guts because I knew my H was cheating online but I didn't know to what extent. The program rosse eluded to is called Spector and you can download it and have it running on your PC in ten minutes.
After only one night of using the PC recording software, I discovered who he was chatting with and what they were chatting about, his user names and passwords for his chat and e-mail accounts and who he was e-mailing and what that was about. I could see who he webcammed with and what websites he visited. I heard all this garbage about how he was working late at night on our PC. It was a lie.
This program is wonderful. It was the best $70.00 I ever spent because I had the proof to confront him. A number of marriagebuilders have used this program. There are others, including Iopus and big brother. I liked Spector because when I ran it in stealth mode on my PC, he had no idea I was running it and I saw everything I needed to know he was cheating on me. I hated snooping but I had to protect myself and know what he was up to...and he was up to no good.
My H had planned to meet another woman he met online the same week I recorded his online shenanigans. Get you some PC recording software and get to the bottom of this mess. You deserve to know the truth.
Bluebird
