Hi! I tried what you said about the e-mail, we don't have outlook express anymore , my H changed it to microsoft outlook. How do I work that? And does it matter if he doesn't get messages or send them from our main e-mail address? I guess I am confused as to how this would work. I have her(OW)e-mail addresses and I still don't trust that he is not contacting her. Thanks DBD

I did the EXACT same thing you did for months, rummaging through the computer guts because I knew my H was cheating online but I didn't know to what extent. The program rosse eluded to is called Spector and you can download it and have it running on your PC in ten minutes. <p>After only one night of using the PC recording software, I discovered who he was chatting with and what they were chatting about, his user names and passwords for his chat and e-mail accounts and who he was e-mailing and what that was about. I could see who he webcammed with and what websites he visited. I heard all this garbage about how he was working late at night on our PC. It was a lie. <p>This program is wonderful. It was the best $70.00 I ever spent because I had the proof to confront him. A number of marriagebuilders have used this program. There are others, including Iopus and big brother. I liked Spector because when I ran it in stealth mode on my PC, he had no idea I was running it and I saw everything I needed to know he was cheating on me. I hated snooping but I had to protect myself and know what he was up to...and he was up to no good.<p>My H had planned to meet another woman he met online the same week I recorded his online shenanigans. Thanks Bluebird, But unfortunately he doesn't use the computer at home anymore and he has a program on it called window washer that gets rid of everything. he installed that before I knew what was going on last yr. The only computer he would be using is at his work, so I'm kind of screwed that way. That's why I was curious about the e-mail forwarding-to see if I could check that way. DBD

I don't have any advice about the email question but I wanted to point out that programs like Spector will still collect the info you want even though programs like Window Washer clear out cache files and such.

Well, here's my take; Undoubtedly programs like Spector (www.spectorsoft.com) are the very best way to do this. They collect ALL information by taking "snapshots" of the screen every x seconds or minutes and you can watch a "movie" of all the activity.
Another good one is called Online Recorder, downloadable at:

This one records all keystrokes, all chat conversations, all windows opened, and all web sites visited, but in "list" form, not like Spector which takes snapshots.<p>So if you have private access on a regular basis to the computer you want to "bug", these are great. If you only have occasional access to it, then Spector has an add-on program called "e-blaster" which will take the info and email it to you on a regular schedule (say every hour) with all the activity from the "bugged" computer. Oh, and these emails do not go through the PC's email program so there's no trace of them left there.<p>With the other, more primitive method I suggested earlier, you need at least a few minutes of access to the PC, and it will leave copies of the emails in the "sent" folder, so they will be easy to find if he's looking for that kind of stuff.<p>I will check out if the same "rules" can be programmed in regular Outlook, and post for you again.<p>If you want to email me: spacecase59@yahoo.com<p>Hope this all helps.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this. Here you are:<p>Oh, and if the email he's using to communicate with the OP is not coming into outlook, this will NOT work. (Say if he uses Hotmail or Yahoo)<p>Rules in Outlook XP (Outlook 2002):<p>Open Outlook and go to "tools", "Rules Wizard"
Click on "New", and select "Start from a blank rule"
Make sure "check messages when they arrive" is selected, and click on "next"
Place a check on "from people or distribution lists" and on "sent to people or distribution lists" in the top box
In the bottom box, click on "people or distribution lists" and enter the email address that you want to track (OP@deceit.com)
If the email is in the address book, find it and select it. If it is not, click on "new" and create an address book entry for it, then select it.
When the email address or addresses have been selected for both From and To, click on "next"
In the top box, check "forward to people or distribution list"
and in the bottom box, click on "people or distibution list" and enter the email address where you want the emails to be forwarded (BS@home.com)
Again, if it exists in the address book, find it and select it, if it doesn't exist, create it and select it.
Then click on "next". It'll go to the "exceptions" menu. I can't think of any exceptions you'd need, so clieck "Next" again.
Give the rule a name (rule1) click on "run this rule now on Inbox" and click on turn this rule on"
Then click finish.
Then click on "Run Now", select the rule by checking the check-box, click on "include sub-folders", apply rule to "All Messages", and click on "Run Now", then on "Close"
