The menu is Bob's Big Boy combo and a hot fudge sundae for dessert.

I've been meaning to ask, is this the same thing as Shoney's?
Shoney's had a Big Boy that looks just like that one!

[color:"purple"]This is true ... I went to Mississippi and ate fried dill pickles in an igloo building. [/color]

... and they were good tasting, and also weird.

Where the heck IS Believer?

She is not responding to "Believer, are you coming?"

Believer is checking out the train schedule. Now is this place is Burbank? I thought it was by a lake somewhere. Can I take a taxi?

We won't be able to make it this time! I have a friend who flew in from Va and we are meeting her up north for lunch.. HHMMM Modest or Burbank. I'd much rather Burbank, but it will be there for awhile, she flies home tomorrow.

The posts said Toluca Lake. That's near Burbank. And the "Lake" part is just the name of the town, I think.

You should be able to get a taxi. Are you coming in to the Burbank Airport station? Or downtown L.A.? (from downtown L.A. to Toluca Lake would be really expensive.)

The central train station is downtown LA ... FF said she could pick you up there....

I have a funeral to go to at 2 PM today <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> ... otherwise I'd offer to pick you up myself ... but I need to go to the funeral for about an hour and a half.

Pep - Sorry about the funeral.

I hate to have to have FF pick me up. I want to leave soon, and have an adventure. But I would like to end up somewhere close to Bob's.

I haven't been to LA since I flew in there 40 years ago. Has it changed much?

B, I would still be happy to pick you up. Otherwise take the red line from downtown to the Universal Station. That will get you fairly close. Email killenme2004-mb@yahoo.com and I will give you my cell phone #. I will be happy to pick you up anywhere.
