A couple of the best things you can do right now is "escape" together--a very important thing for de-stressing. We all have stressors, but leaving your spouse/best friend/biggest supporter behind while escaping leads the one left behind to believe it is they that the other is escaping from. When escaping, you do whatever you can to rescue your pal, too, right?

The second is embarking on a challenge together. Renovating will be challenging! Take projects in small, least-messy bits, and always make sure that you keep a clean, tidy sanctuary somewhere. Like, don't rip out ALL the flooring at once. Learning something new together is good, too. Just keep the LBs in check when things inevitably get wonky. It is much easier when you both know that the other always has your back, which will come when you get in the habit of escaping together.

Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. Second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience.
