Sorry dear, been busy hacking up a lung or two. A little off tune, but ready to roll.
Why are there so many songs about rainbows And what's on the other side? Rainbows are visions, but only illusions, And rainbows have nothing to hide. So we've been told and some choose to believe it I know they're wrong, wait and see. Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, The lovers, the dreamers and me.
Who said that every wish would be heard and answered When wished on the morning star? Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it, And look what it's done so far. What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing And what do we think we might see? Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, The lovers, the dreamers, and me.
All of us under its spell, We know that it's probably magic...
... Have you been half asleep? And have you heard voices? I've heard them calling my name. ... Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors? The voice might be one and the same I've heard it too many times to ignore it It's something that I'm s'posed to be... Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, The lovers, the dreamers, and me.
Laa, da daa dee da daa daa, La laa la la laa dee daa doo...
Better?
E

JO? Where areeeee youuuuuu....
How bout another cause Zippy got me in the mood.
Friends
Packing up the dreams God planted In the fertile soil of you Can't believe the hopes he's granted Means a chapter in your life is through But we'll keep you close as always It won't even seem you've gone 'Cause our hearts in big and small ways Will keep the love that keeps us strong
CHORUS: And friends are friends forever If the Lord's the Lord of them And a friend will not say "Never" 'Cause the welcome will not end Though it's hard to let you go In the Father's hands we know That a lifetime's not too long To live as friends
With the faith and love God's given Springing from the hope we know We will pray the joy you'll live in Is the strength that now you show But we'll keep you close as always It won't even seem you've gone 'Cause our hearts in big and small ways Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Thanks for asking, I feel like crap. How's that for radical honesty? And now for a disrespectful judgement, my doctor isn't worth $hit.
I'm getting a migraine on top of the pneumonia, and I just might die.
He thinks we need to try more non-narcotic medicine before he gives me another script for T#3 or something like it.
Know what. I'm gonna make me a thread and see if anyone here has an idea for me.
What's got you down babe?
E

I'm sorry 'bout the migrain. I've never had one so don't really have a cure .... altho, I have a good friend who gets them and has been told they are Hormone based. She drinks a tea, mixture of Ginseng and other herbs (can't remember the name), and within an hour it relieves her symptoms.
Dang Liz, how in the heck can you even read the monitor with a headache like that.
I wish I could help you better.
I'll tell you what's going on in email. I have your addy now that you responded to a thread from WAT. Don't want to say too much here, I have learned OW may be lurking.
Please feel better, Hon.
Love, Jo

Hey U 2,
I can't carry a tune but sure willing to help hummmm along where I can. I now have that Rainbow connection song stuck in my head!!!
U know I am married to a guy that just doesn't have much music appreciation of the homegrown kind. He like Yanni and all the instruments!!! I like to humm, sing, make up songs, strum on a ukulele, campfire singing etc.
Liz, I am sorry for your migraine. There are some remedies being tested in this area and my SIL and family all have migraines (even the little ones)...... I will try to dig up my info.
Jo, I tried calling you. Sorry you are having some dumpy times. Me too. Did you read my garbage thread? Arrrgh.....
Ooops this is suppose to be a serenading post....
ok howz about .......
In the jungle, the mighty jungle the lion sleeps to night......
Oh, I am not good at writing lyrics and I sing even worse!!! LOL!
L.

JTW, I suppose it's too late now, if you've got the migraine, you've really got it strong by now. Compazine! and Benadryl. -AD [ June 30, 2002, 02:25 AM: Message edited by: AD ]

I cant believe your back JTW!!! Awesome, Ive missed u so much! I havent been on here myself lately. I wrote some crap to a guy on here and regretted it completely, enough to be totally embarrassed by my own mis-applications of life.
Hows your head now? I only had a migraney-thing once and had an injection to put me to sleep. Ive had a baby...does that count any for being able to relate to the pain factor yor experiencing?
You guys are lucky hooking up over there. I should check out if these Aussies are doing anything?
Chow Dancer

Lenny Kravitz "Fly Away"
Turn it up really, really loud. If you don't you're not allowed to listen. The best thing about this song is that it's easy to sing.
I wish that I could fly Into the sky so very high Just like a dragonfly
I'd fly above the trees Over the seas in all degrees To anywhere I please
(Chorus) Oh! I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah, yeah, yeah I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah, yeah, yeah
Let's go and see the stars The milkyway or even Mars Where it could just be ours
Let's fade into the sun Let your spirit fly and be at one Just for a little fun
(Chorus)
Oh, oh, oh yeah! I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah, yeah, yeah (Oh yeah!) I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah, yeah, yeah (Gotta get away!)
I want to get away (I want to get away) I want to get away (I want to get away) Yeah!
I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah, yeah, yeah (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)

Resilient: Forgive me for lapsing into disco, but it helps make it more entertaining if you imagine Keanu Reeves doing the electric slide to it in a jail cell in "The Replacements":
First I was afraid, I was petrified Thinkin how was I to live without you by my side I spent oh so many nights thinking how you done me wrong but I grew strong I learned how to get along
And now you're back from outer space I just turned to see you there with that sad look upon your face I should have changed that stupid lock I should have made you leave your key If I had known that you be back around to bother me.
(Everybody NOW!) I will SURVIVE I will SURVIVE Oh, as long as I know how to live, I know I'll be alive I've got all my life to live And I've got all my love to give I will survive! I will survive! Hey! Hey!
(I know it's corny. I know the subject matter logically should make my skin crawl. And I ordinarily despise disco. But this stupid song ALWAYS makes me laugh.)
Hope you're feelin' better. You too, JTW. I would add the words to "Two Pina Coladas" if I thought it would help a migraine, but you'd just have a hangover headache instead of a migraine.

Another Sesame Street song........
It helps if you remember the little guys who did this one.
Ma na ma na
Do do do do do
Ma na ma na
Do do do do
Ma na ma na
Do do do do do, do do do, do do do do do do do do do do do do do
Ma na ma na
Do do do do do
Ma na ma na
Do do do do
Ma na ma na
Do do do do do, do do do, do do do Do do do do do do do do do do
Ma na ma na
After a couple of choruses the guy doing the "Ma na ma na's" takes off on a big solo, remember? During which the "Do do do do" guy is looking at him funny. Finally the other guy realy quietly says, "Ma na ma na". This kills me every time. I just hope someone besides me knows what I'm talking about! LOL
There's a band called Cake that does a cover of "I Will Survive" which is great. It's a non-disco cover which I really like .
P.S. Had to fix it, didn't have the words right for the "Ma na ma na" song, lol. Please someone say they know this one.
[ May 21, 2002: Message edited by: idiotguy ]

JTW - some migraine help as I am a sufferer as well.
As you know the aura usually lasts 20 minutes. If possible - I immediately down two Advil gel caps with a strong cup of coffee and immerse my arms in hot water - as hot as you can stand it. Keep adding hot water too. Stay there for the whole duration of the aura. Sometimes I'll just immerse my body in a hot bath if at all possible. Trust me it works. It helps reduce the pain of the actual headache. Now that I am taking antioxidants my migraines are not as bad. I can email you with that info as I happen to sell them and well, that's not appropriate here, but you may find the info interesting. Later.
I know my triggers are FOOD - and I pay for eating chocolate or deli meats (sodium nitrates).
Hope that helps.
