Just for fun:-
Is there any statistics on how long an A will last between a boss and his secretary.
They work, live and travel together.
My WS wanted space from me, just wondering how he is feeling now that his space is completely taken up by OW. As his secretary she is in control of his cellphone, email, mail and his finances.
His removed me from our joint bank account and he has now given her signing powers on our cheque account. (Just received a cheque with all her details on and which she had signed but bank returned the cheque as they did not recognise her signature.) ATTY already have the cheque, good evidence
Me, I'm watching from the side line to see how fast this ship is sinking.

i'll take a stab at this one. I have been an executive secretary and had a male secretary for several years.
It's a funny relationship. A good Boss/Assistant relationship requires a certain amount of chemistry. As the executive assistant to a very powerful man I was his at work spouse. And it was my job to be that . You become friend, confidant, travel companion, etc. While not all assistants and their bosses have inappropriate relationships, many do.
I started in the Assistant pool at my company. I was totally blown away to discover how many people had inappropriate relationships with their boss.
I think these EMA's die a natural death just like any others (if they are meant to). Usually thought it requires that one person leave the firm or at VERY least transfer to another dept.

GinnyF,
I don't know about statistics of how long, but through my expereince I have come to learn that this is a very common occurance between bosses and secretarys. My H's secretary was in charge of everything you described. She was very good at her "job", while I was distracted with many other responsibilities.
I imagine, eventually, reality does set in when demands start to be made of our spouses. Part of the appeal of the A with her is that she does everything for "free" basically. No daily grind like at home.
The ship will sink and I'm glad that you realize that. If they are living to gether, it might be sooner rather than later.
