Not much, but enjoyed myself anyhow. Went AWOL from work at lunch time (sometimes it's good to be a boss), got on my bike for a 30km ride. Had a few pints, good dinner. Went to the movies, did some washing. Watching telly now, haveing a nice chilled rosé and writing some contributions on MB, including some tries at true literature (? rather not, I'm afraid.)
I talked today with my daughter who I havent seen for a fortnight. WW was with friends, didnt speak to her for a few days now. On Sunday, they'll be back. Better get that house cleaned up. Help is at hand - cleaning service will deploy in force tomorrow.

watched this 'sum of all fear' movie.
one of the films I'd better watch alone myself anyway - as no 10 horses could move my wife into the theatre for that one. rightly so, she's got a good nose, and the film was pretty bad actually. but having had a few pints befor and with an ice cream and a load of pop corn, everything is relative.
where are you located? here's already 1am.

going_crazy,

I am sorry that you are stressing tonight!!! Do you have any inclination as to what is on his heart?

What are you doing to do to prepare for this talk? How do you plan to deal with it if he is pushing your buttons? Can you work out some type of plan tonight, so that you will know how to deal with things as they come up tomorrow, say a what if plan?!!!!

Hey Dawn! I just got home from grocery shopping. I am having my in-laws up to see my new house tomorrow! I am a little stressed about that, but I am sure it will be OK. They are being very supportive surprisingly. How did the girls rooms come out? Were they happy?
Have a great night Dawn!

First, going_crazy, I am sorry that you are stressing about tomorrow. I agree with Dawn that you need a plan made in advance. Try to think of all the possibilities and role play in your mind what you will say and how you will react. My son's MC told them that meaningful conversation cannot take place if the emotions are running too high. The brain doesn't compute. The MC said something interesting. He said that if your heart rate is over 100 that you can't communicate effectively. Good luck.

I liked "Sum of All Fears." Of course, I like anything that Morgan Freeman is in.

Well, I am in my "Oh my gosh, it's the last weekend before school starts!" mode. Oh well, I think I'm ready.

I am busily surfing the net for Celtic music, traditional, contemporary, Scottish, Irish.
Drowning my back-to-work woes in this wonderful genre of music. I haven't posted about my trip because I hesitate to talk about my happy experience where so many people are hurting. Suffice it to say, my trip to the UK was phenomenal. One week in Ireland and the rest in Scotland and England. I even got to phone (ring ) Lady-in-Red while I was there. She sounded very much a lady. It was fun hearing her voice. Anyway, I am pining away for the Highlands and the bagpipes and the mist on the hills and all the green while trying not to think about junior high kids just yet.

Son and DIL are negotiating their D. It dawned on him one day that it was time to stop the struggle. He's so much happier now and looking at the future. He has made an offer on a house and is more relaxed than he has been since DIL's A began. Ironically, FOM has married another woman, a friend of DIL whom OM was seeing intermittently while he was also seeing DIL. What a mess. I am so glad that S is getting out.

Meanwhile, my D's December wedding has been cancelled. Her fiance, although he loves her, is starting pharmacy school and doesn't feel that he is ready for the anxiety of that and a new M. I'm not mad at him. Actually, it's a good thing. M is hard enough when you are enthusiastic about it. Too bad that D moved to another town and got a job and apt where the pharmacy school is and now no M. D will be OK. She has done a lot of maturing in the last few years.

So, that's my Friday night. The temp is still 93 and it's 8:30.

Estes49: I am trying to think of every possible thing to say, I'm starting to just think I should just listen, not say much, take it all and maybe give answers later. He could go either route, "should I stay or should I go"

wucus: what is your secret?? how in the world did you go in a bookstore and not buy anything, my problem is I buy waaaaaaaaayyyy too many books on relationships since this all started!!!

going_crazy,

I think you hit on something there!!! Listen do not act or react to what he has to say, be as no-committal as possible and say that you will need a few days to process the whole thing.

Wouldn't it be nice to record it all so that you can play it back later, I always hate trying to remember what was said after the fact!!

Dawn

I am still processing STBX leaning in to kiss me last weekend when he left!!! I was told old habitat!!! Yeah but why did he feel that comfortable?

AT work, break time. Thought I'd check out MB.

Weekend plans:
Tomorrow H has softball tournament. Will go if weather permits.

Go through kids clothes, see what I need to buy for school.
Clean basement if time - if I do it right, I won't have time.

I'm defecting from the divorcing boards tonight.

Worked til 5 even though office closed at 1, picked up kids and went to fish camp ( very popular thing here in the south)

We were going to a local rodeo but we got a great thunderstorm so we came home and I watched Winston-cup qualifying. While I'm a true #24 and #48 fan, I have a soft spot for the #8 too. Called a friend to let him know his drivers qualified 1-2-3 then found out I lied when Harvick qualified 2nd. I truly thought it was over when I called. Oh Well

Then I watched an old movie from 1989 called chances are. Never had seen it. The cher and peter cetera theme song, afterall got me to crying my eyes out, so I'm now one the computer looking for someone else's life to disappear into for a while. Can't offer much advice today so I'm basically not contributing. just lurking mostly.

I'm sort of in limbo. Have a settlement conference meeting in my STBXH's lawyers office on Monday morning. I'm starting to stress over it. Not because of the divorce. I'm ready for that. I just don't want to go through all the pain and anger. I know it is coming. My H and I have had an agreement on how we wanted to settle for a year now but the lawyers think they know better than us on what will be financially acceptable.

I don't really stress over the money because I know God will make a way for me. I just want to have a fair deal. I made more money than H so I don't expect alimony or any help with debt relief. Basically I just want him to pay whatever the state says he should in child support and get out of my life. I know I'll be in a room with him Monday watching him as he breaks every promise he made me about the settlement. I HATE being lied to. I hate it more than the cheating, the non-financial support, the abandonment, all of it. I hate being treated as if I'm stupid and can't see the truth when it is right there in front of my eyes.

Ooops, I didn't mean for this to turn into a vent. I didn't except to break down crying tonight either. I just want this to be over. I want to love myself. I want somebody to love me. I'm just not there yet.

Have a good night and weekend everyone.

Thanks for letting me hang out here for a while.

peoplepleaser,
You are always welcome to come hang with us!! We do one of these threads every couple of friday nights, just kind of fun to see what others are doing.

I am sorry that you are feeling a little low, it is hard when we know that we have to face the STBX and am uncomfortable with that. Stick to your guns on the agreement that you worked out with STBXH. STBXH and I had worked back forth thru e mails for 2 months on an agreeement and he took it to his lawyer and it got all screwed up. So I wouldn't sign so now it has been 6 months and still no signatures. And that is sad!! Here in SD STBX and I don't have to see each other thru this process, unless we can't settle and we end up in court, I don't want that!! Can't say that that this is a better way or not, sometimes I would like to be able to yell and scream and have him see and hear me, then me doing it at a computer screen!!

Oh well, you are right the Lord will provide for us!! And that is Awesome to know!!!

Storm is just hitting us. I will have to drive home in it, unless it is done by the time I leave. YUK.

I don't mind being home for storms, I just don't like driving in them. I'm okay for night driving, except when the roads are wet. Then I have to take extra caution. The reflection off the wet roads are hard on my eyes.

What in the heck is Fish Camp?
Do they all sit around the campfire singing KumByYah and thanking the Lord they didn't get caught today?

Hi everyone....

Got thru our first two days of work...I really wasn't ready to go back. They added to work days on our schedule this year. Would have been nice to actually get my room organized--but no such luck. We spent the last two days straightening out schedules for our special needs students. I forgot how much fun the start of school is

Outside of that, I am lonely tonight. My friend is with his kids, my D and S are at sleepovers and my 16 yr old is out with her boyfriend. It is sad to work hard all week and then come home to an empty house. I sure miss what we once had....oh well.

Ever had one of those days when you feel old and thrown away. Kind of the mood I am in. I miss my old life.

Have a great nite....Pat
