Are there any nurses or knowledgeable people that can help me with this problem?

I have always been prone to cold sores on my chin and the corner of my mouth. I know this is Herpes I. My husband gets them also. Mine come from stress, colds or sunburns.

Ever since DDAY we have been passing them back and forth. Now, I am on my 4th outbreak and getting darn sick of it!

We have both had colds since DDAY (we are pathetic) - I have had 2!

But I am TIRED of these things. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks,
DB

l-lysine

in large doses.

What are you doing to minimize stress?

are you exercising?

taking time in the sauna?

also i have found that melaluca oil straight will end an outbreak within a day or two. keeps it small and sends it packing.

Ive had it so darn long that i rarely have an outbreak anymore once every other year or so. i have heard that the newer meds work ive never tried so i cant tell you whats up with them but someone here was praising it just the other day.

most importantly.... do something everyday to sooth yourself.

the most hectic of times is the best time to sooth oneself. take a breath when your overly stressed your brain doesnt work as well take the time to relax it really shouldnt take more than a couple of minutes to breath deeply and tell yourself to relax. if you i did that just a few times a day you would find that it does work.

Melaluca oil??? Never heard of it. Can I get it at Wal-Mart or a real pharmacy? Do you apply it to the cold sore.

I, too, have had these since I was a teenager but I've never had 4 in a row!!! Sometimes I can go a whole year without one. Especially if I am careful with the sunscreen.

I excercise whenever I get the chance (only twice this week cuz of basketball games). I'm normally a stress free type of gal but that's changed just a tad since DDAY.

Thanks for your advice, Chaz.

T36-C5 M is the product ive used it works wonders for me, takes the sting away too.

the company that makes it is a pyramid scheme so dont get to wrapped up with whoever sells it to you but its worth the trouble.
