Hey everyone. Well it's taken a while (seems like an eternity) and it was a battle I needed to fight for myself but it is over. I have found out about one more A my wife had last summer and that's all I can take.

There is a local policeman here in our little town that my wife got to know. My wife has always been interested in becoming a police officer so even though I was a bit uncomfortable with the idea I didn't see anything too wrong with her going with this guy when he was on duty. She would ride with him when he was patroling and would come home and tell me about some of the more exciting calls they went out on. To be honest with you it sounded pretty exciting to me to. Well you guessed it, that's not all that they were doing (I have to be the biggest moron alive). I never imagined that this would be going on. This guy is married and about ten years younger than my wife. Really just a goofy, hillbilly cop like someone you'd see on a bad television show.

Anyway our landlord at this time also happens to be the mayor of our town. She found out this was going on and put a stop to it. My wife was furious that she would do this and she said people at the city hall were talking about her being the town s**t. Well I went to the mayor and told her that my wife has always been interested in becoming a police officer and she just enjoyed doing this. The mayor was very nice to me and said she understood. The only reason she put a stop to it was because the city did not have insurance for non-officers riding in patrol cars. She actually knew what was going on, my wife knew that she knew, and still let me go up and defend her and make a fool out of myself basically in front of the whole town.

Our friend who has been keeping tabs on my wife's antics told me that this past friday night my wife and her were at the bar waiting for OM to show up. Mind you this is the man she is head over heels for and is just waiting for the D to be final so they can be together. Well in walks this policeman. They talked for no more than ten minutes my friend said and they proceeded to leave the bar and no one could find them for about an hour and a half! Unbelievable. I realized then that my wife's problems are so deep that I have to get away from her as fast as possible.

Hi Starman,

I'm sorry about this recent news. It sounds very wise that you said:

quote:
I realized then that my wife's problems are so deep that I have to get away from her as fast as possible.

I'm sure there are many women and men here who've recovered marriages EVEN after this extent of infidelity. Zorweb comes to mind, you might talk with her.

You sound like a very patient and forgiving person, but I can see where you feel that this is too much for anyone to take. I wish I had some great words of wisdom, but I don't. You certainly deserve far more than you're getting from your wife. This is sad stuff.

Take care,
H_P

Your story breaks my heart. Nobody deserves what you have been dealing with. The fact that she would allow you to go to the Mayor and humiliate yourself like you said is truly beyond belief.
You need to protect and save yourself. It is clear that she has no respect for you whatsoever and apparently enjoys torturing you. People can only hurt you if you allow them to hurt you. You deserve a better life and you will get one when you stand up free yourself from this hell. I wish you the best of luck because you truly deserve it.

Starman, I agree with what H_P said, this is very sad but a M CAN recover from this deep of infidelity.

Why not go into a firm plan B with her? File for a legal separation, try to get full custody and then let the ball stay in her court. Maybe time will turn her around, maybe not.

You have little more to lose and so, so much to gain. Why not try more?

I wish you the best.

Startman, I know how painfull this is for you... But no matter what you do... she will not change until she realize that she has a problem... I tell you for my own experience... the only thing you can do is let God to controll your emotions and let him fix what is broken, now you can see that you cannot fix it by yourself... Do what you need to do to recover "your self" from so much pain and ask God to heal all wounds she caused you and let God take controll of this situation... Trust me it works...

I hope you feel better...
