Just J,
Do you recall our discussion of the results of this site and the Harley approach? Go to EN and read the post that K sent to me. Then go read some of FC's posts in the archive section. Truely an amazing story given how things were going when she was last here lo these many years ago.

Just J,
I wanted you to read that thread because it is why I came to post here. The result after all these years is the other reason. Your situation is not the same, and yet... You have deeply held convictions and with time they will lead you where you need to go. It may be away or it may mean you two become close again. But, time and looking at things in different ways does help. Having met you, I know you are fully capable and doing those things now.
I do think FC's case was somewhat extreme but still things worked out.
So now you know my origins on this board. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
God Bless,
JL

It was really nice reading your very first post, JL. You've always been articulate, and that first post was a doozy. Nicely done.
Personally, I hope -my- first post never resurfaces...
My own situation is... well, it just is. I don't know where I'm going, but I suppose that's true of all of us. I do believe that I will get where I need to go.
I also know that the path that takes me there is going to continue to be hard. I don't know how anything could be harder than the last year was, but I do not expect things to just go right back to being easy ... perhaps that's a mistake on my part, but it just feels like life will never be as easy again as it once was.
Then again, there's the whole kid thing and the whole making ends meet thing and the whole being a single parent thing. Life -isn't- as easy as it once was.
Anyway, thanks, JL. Goddess bless. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Jeez, with all the time the old man has been here, you would have thunk he'd figure out the hyperlink-thingy by now... Just Learning's first MB postI would love to show you the post that got me started here, but it's been long gone in the first great board crash of '99. There are some really old posts on the server if you hunt using the scripts, but most of the earlier stuff is truly gone... K--MB historian...
