Almost 9 months to the day, my WW left to be with OM. She tried coming home twice, but the addiction was too strong. She came over Saturday and we talked briefly. We fought before on DV issues and it looked like we were going to be on a rough ride through that, but Saturday she agreed to all my terms and actually is giving me more than what I asked for. So, we wrote up the paperwork. She'll be turning it in this week and it will end our 17 year marriage. Though this is not what I really want, I feel that I need to let her go while she is still feeling generous. Maybe one day she'll realize she made a big mistake and maybe we can work through it then. I have come a long way since all this started. The rollercoaster ride almost killed me and had I not found this site, I would have had an even tougher time. I want to thank all of you who have gotten me through all this. I will probably remain here for a little longer after the DV is final so I can slowly pick up the pieces and move on. The people here on this site are the best support group I've ever been around. With you and my friends at work, I've made it through most of the hard stuff and come out on top. Thanks again everyone.....

LWH -

Please pray. You need your friends and you need the people here but most importantly you need Christ. You will find comfort if you give this "yoke" to him. Your children need you to be strong for them as well. Please ask them to turn to the Lord as well.

They will need help dealing with all of this. I assume resentment will come for their mother and depending on how she handles this resentment your children will look to you to set the mood of how to treat their mother.

Be open with them, they are old enough to handle the truth for the most part.

My parents were never honest with me about their divorce. I blamed my father for my entire life. It wasn't until he died that I found out the truth. I regret that now. I just wished they had been honest with me. I lost a great deal of time with him and he'll never know how much he meant to me.

So, to sum it up. Remain strong, seek help and support for yourself and for your children.

I'm sure your W doesn't realize what this will do to them and the rest of their lives.

I will pray for you.
