The OP does not have any reason to tell the BS the truth. If the OP is married, you are obligated to let the OP's BS know about the affair in my opinion. Most of us would have killed to know about our WS's affair from the OP's spouse instead of finding out the hard way, such as I did when my WW gave me herpes.

No, you should not. Both BS and WS are suppose to have no contact with the OP. Asking the OP this question will only give him the impression that there is something wrong with your M and you don’t want the OP to know anything about you, your S or you M. Also, you can’t guarantee that the OP will tell the truth… If there is still contact, most possibly the OP will deny it. IMO, if you suspect contact, rather contact the OP’s spouse and confront your WS.

Hi quartz,

If the main purpose for you is to contact the OP to glean information about further contact, then don't bother.

A person that gets involved with a married man/woman is not someone who would likely offer the truth to anyone, let alone the spouse.

I agree with suzet that you should be focusing on your WS for this information and when in doubt...snoop.

O
