me and H talked last night. it was a good talk we both agreed that one of our major problesm aside from OW is our communiation skills and lack of them. he says he doesnt know if we'll ever be able to communicat b/c he holds everything in and says when he does communicate i get overly emotioanl or we disagree. does anyone have ideas or know of any good books on the topics?? Thanks

Have you tried communicating by writing? My H and I don't do this often, but it tends to help you stay focused on the topic instead of chasing rabbits. Also you might try having talks in a neutral setting - away from home. Where you try to maintain a level of politeness because of others being nearby. No need to disturb the whole park or restaurant with a fire and brimstone conversation, but if you can maintain a better civility by being watched then it might work for you...

All the big serious R and M conversations between WH and I have been via e-mail. This way we can say what needs to be said without becoming overly emotional. We can take our time and say what we mean.
