Are there any UK users of this messageboard who can recommend a proven marriage guidance counselling service over here please ?

I called 'relate' the state service but the person I spoke to was unsympathetic and clueless.

Are there marriagebuilders affliliates overhere ?

Advice please I am dying alone with this right now. I need help. I have no-one but the soul mate who has betrayed me.

Hi Bob
Relate has a good reputation - their books are pretty good in any case. Did you read the one about affairs? You should get it at any Waterstones.
Apart from that, I know a few MBers here (well, there were some around a few months ago, like Lisa from London, Lady in Red, Deluded in Devon and others).
I'd recommend you go and talk it with a councellor - I know a good guy in Clapham, if that's close to you are.
Cheers

I can't help you there Bob, but I'm in the same boat. I know that some relationship councillors can do more harm than good (we threw away £250 on one), so I'd really like to find one who uses Marriagebuilders concepts.

For now I'm relying on books and this site. Personally I wasn't keen on relates' book, but 'Surviving An Affair' by the Harleys and 'Torn Asunder' by David Carder have really helped my WH and I understand what the hell happened to us. Also 'Not Just Friends' by Shirley Glass. You can order them on Amazon.

I'd be grateful too, if anyone out there knows of a good service.
