Is this a typical response for WS? I feel so hopeless. He keeps telling me that he wants both of us to be happy and stop hurting. Is this why he is saying these things? He says he's not in love with OW and has had no Physical contact with her since he told me of the A. They have talked twice since. Could she be filling his head with all of these things? How do I respond to him telling me that he is cut out for marriage? What do I say to him about all of this? Any advice???

Tree,
As you read other posts, you will see that this is fog talk. I suggest when he says that, try not to respond in a negative way, but rather say "maybe its not for you, but I like being married". It may make him rethink his position.
I would not respond to it directly or even plead with him. You will have to be patient and not give any ultimatums. That approach usually does not work. Try to keep him in your household as long as possible. The longer he stays, the better your chances of recovery.

I can remember my wife telling me things like "she was there just for the children" and "we don't have to be married". I finally got to a point where I said "you're right, we don't have to be married". After that, I never heard her say it again. It took a while to get to that point and you will get there.

Don't lose hope, hang in there, it will get better,

Thank you! I was thinking of asking him tonihgt to come home at least for our son. I think I can deal with all of this better if he is here. Do you think that asking him to come back is a good idea????

Tree,
I went back and read a few of your posts. The answer to your question depends on where you are in your M. Have you done plan A? Are you in plan B? How long have you been apart? Is he showing signs of wanting to come home? The way I see it, it is more difficult to do plan A while separated. If you ask him back are you compromising any of your positions? If he comes back, he may leave again. The idea of plan A is to show yourself in a positive way so that if separation occurs and contact continues, you can do an effective plan B. Remember almost all affairs end and die a natural death. The question is will you be around to win him back when it does end?

Well, I haven't been in Plan A that long. I just think that if he were here it would make my efforts easier. He is staying with his brohter right now. He comes by here everyday after work and stays until time for bed so that's why I was going to ask him to move back. He could even sleep in the guest room. I just think things won't get any better if he isn't here. He says he's trying to end things with OW properly. He has been very honest with me about when they talk. He says there is no longer any physical contact. He says that it's too hard to be here because it's like a house of pain. I'm really trying to be upbeat...it's very hard!!!!
