Well, I will be evacutating again. I just thin it's so ironic that my WH's middle name is Francis. I'm just getting it from all sides these days!!!! I feel like I'm going to lose my mind! I've been sad all day. Sometimes I just can't do all of it alone!!!! I am feeling overwhelmed!!!! Will it ever get better? The thought of going through another hurricane and not having my H here with us just tears me up inside. It's like he has no concern for my safety or anything. God...help me!!!

I think this is the feminine Frances...not Francis...but sorry you have to evacuate.
We aren't in an evacuation area...but will be following the path of this storm and preparing accordingly.
Hope all will go well for you and your family.

TR, you are stronger than any wind or any blowhard.
You might also be surprised at how God can use even hurricanes in one's life.
God bless.

Be safe, tree. Boy, you all should just shut Florida down altogether for a while.

tr- Stay safe, go here to learn as much as you can. Take official advice that is given, do not pick and choose. That's what happened to so many during Charlie. They left Tampa and went to Orlando. They got hit kinda hard while Tampa had gusts up to 3mph. Are you in a house or an apartment? House? When was it built, before or after 1995? Cinder block? Flood plain? Coastal? Sorry to dump all of this on you... You've got plenty of time to prepare yourself. I'll keep you and yours on my 'cane prayer list. I hope the experience helps you and your son bond even tighter. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Thank you everyone!!!!
robby...I live in a house. It was built 2 yrs. ago. I'm sure I would be safe in my home it's just that I don't want to be here alone with my son. If my friends are leaving I'm going with them. We're waiting until the morning to decide. They just canceled school for Thursday and Friday.
graycloud....I agree...we should just shut down the state for a while.. LOL!!
kjb & Trix...thanks for the prayers!
ForeverHers....thank you. I will hold strong and take what I can out of any message from God!

TR,
Be careful. It is a travesty that your WH isn't concerned about his you and your son. Seems like his whole universe ends at the end of his nose.
Our FD will be sending a couple units to the most severly hit areas to provide aid.

Well, I talked to my H again today....and he is definitely filing for divorce. I just don't understand! I'm feeling very bad right now and feeling like maybe there was more I could have done. He's so deep in his own selfishness that he can't even see what's happening right in front of his face!!!! I've been defeated!!!! It's done! There's nothing left that I can do.
I called my parents and they just want me to come home. My dad is leaving around 2:00 a.m. to come and get me and my son. I don't want to be alone during the hurricane. I could have gone with my friend but I feel like I really need my famioly right now. I truly will miss being a family! I always had such pride in that. I thought it was wonderful that we had been married for so long. I guess It was all just a lie. It's going to be so hard to say goodbye to him. I don't know if I can sign the papers when I get them. I just don't know if I can do it.

((((((Tree))))))))
Go enjoy the warmth of your Mom and Dad. Sometimes in the intense stress of life it just feels good to become that little girl again and crawl up on your Daddys lap and snuggle...or on the couch if you'll squish him.
Enjoy your Mom and Dad and be safe. Keep us posted as to how you are doing.

TR,
You have NOT been defeated!! God is with you. I know right now you feel like it's all falling to pieces, and I can't possibly comprehend what it's like to be in your situation and going through my second hurricane evacuation in a few weeks.
And this may sound crazy, but at least the hurricane preparations can help keep your mind off other things. You'll be busy--that's been the best thing for me during this whole process. The more time I have on my hands, the more I find myself thinking...about how thing will never be the same, about how all my dreams of growing old together are ending, about lots of stuff that just makes me sad and miserable.
I don't know diddly about hurricane preparation, but if I remember correctly, you're near Orlando? If your house is only 2 years old, I'd think other than shingle and window damage (and possibly the flooding that can come with it) it will remain standing.
I am following the news because I work as an accountant for a company who manages retirement communities, and we have a whole group of them in the south FL area (four of which I'm involved with personally). I have one in Orlando as well. I'm keeping them all in my prayers. Three of them (two in Delray and the one in Orlando) are already planning on evacuating their nursing home patients. I can't imagine how traumatic that would be on someone like that.
I can't do much from here, but our company is going to set up a 24-hour emergency phone line from tomorrow thru next Tuesday in case anyone gets separated from their parents or loved ones when the communities are evacuated, and I've volunteered to staff a few evening/night shifts for them.
As for you, just remember, you are strong! You've going through a really tough time emotionally and you're still here. You'll make it through this, too. You have family and friends. Lean on them. They're there for you.

Thanks! I'm trying so hard to stay strong. I just feel so overwhelmed!!!! I can't eat and my mind is just going crazy! I just got off the phone with one of my friends and she helped me see that I will be ok. I am so thakful for friends!!!! In times like these you really find out who your friends really are!
I'm leaving early in the morning and not sure when I'll return. I'll try to keep everyone posted.
God bless all of you!

Tree, you are under a mountain of stress right now, and it isn't a time to reflect on where things stand and where your life is.
Right now, just try to get through the chaos of the next few days, and don't make any decisions before then. And go see your folks, kay?

Tree -
Okay, your husband is so fogged out that he does not care about you and son. Accept that. You need to be the one to step up to the plate. Take care of yourself and child.
If your WH ever comes out of the fog, I don't know how you are going to forgive him (or how he is going to forgive himself).
Remember, we are all with you in spirit and prayer. God will help you, and so will we. Please stay in touch.
Don't forget about all of the good men out there. Tom, who is having his own problems with his wife, but is reaching out to help others. Robby who draws submarines on the internet while the storm approaches, and many others all over the world.
You are a beautiful woman who is temporarily going through some hard times. You can do this.

Graycloud and believer....thank you for your kid words. I seriously feel like I'm having a nervous breakdown. I just can't seem to get a grip!!!!!
I know that there are lots of good men out there. I just feel so unwanted. This pain is just too much to bare!!! I wish I could just run away!!!! I just want someone to hug me and say they love me. I want to feel needed and wanted. I miss being touched and held. This is so hard!!!! How do all of you handle this??? I pray to God every night to give me strength to deal with this. Why do bad things alwasy happen to good people?

We only handle it because we're given no other choice, Tree.
Breathe in, breathe out. Remember that you're safe.
Or at least you will be once you're out of the path of that damned cyclone.

graycloud....I guess you're right. We have no other choice but to "handle" it huh?
I'm out of here tomorrow morning. I hate leaving my animals here. My WH is going to come here and take care of them. I really didn't want him to but I had no other choice. All of my friends are leaving too so there is nobody else to take care of them.
I have to go finish packing. Have a good night and I will let all of you know when I am safe and sound.
