Is this normal? My H wants a D and I don't believe him. I hear his words, but just can't believe that he is that unhappy and would leave us (me and our 2 boys). I haven't given up, in fact I think up until tonight I have been doing all the wrong things since I found out he cheated on me. Last night was horrible. We talked and he pretty much made me feel like I am the reason why our marriage fell apart and he cheated. My dad says it is mental abuse b/c my H knows he is the one in the wrong. He doesn't care that I forgave him, he just wants out. I just can't believe it...

Believe that he is no longer your H but a wicked WS. Armed with that knowledge, know that you must take steps to protect yourself and your family. After he has attacked your character and succeeded, what makes you think he won't get brave and try to attack others?

If he says he wants a D, let him go to the work. You check out your options so you know how to respond. Don't assume he won't be out to hurt you in any manner. Assume he will hurt the family in some way (emotionally, financially, mentally, etc.).

Then you can have a plan of action instead of waiting and wondering, then Boom!..... he does something real stupid and you aren't prepared to bounce back quick enough.
