Please pray for our family. My MIL was admitted to the hospital this evening b/c she's been having dizzy spells & the dr's can't find anything wrong w/her. They did a whole bunch of tests on her in the E/R & when the attending physician spoke to her family dr, the fam dr said to admit her right away. Maybe the dr's haven't told my FIL all the info? Sounds a bit odd to me that they rushed so quickly if they didn't have a major concern.

We're going to go see her tomorrow morning. I pray everything is okay.

Prayers for your MIL -- I pray it's not something serious, just a precaution to check her in. I pray the doctors' hands and minds are blessed by God, for surely he is with them and you. I lift you and your family up in prayer, that He is with you during this scary time, comforts you, heals your mother-in-law.

In His name, Amen.

Thanks Shellybird. We don't know what we're facing when we get down there. I pray they can find out quickly what's going on & help her come back from this. My H is extrememly close to his mom & he'll take it pretty hard if it's bad news.

Gotta go. Off to get the kiddies up & head down to the hospital.

Thanks for the prayers. They help!

Update:

Went to see MIL today. She's in very high spirits. They still can't find anything. She's in for another day & they are running an MRI on her tomorrow. Let's hope something shows up. There has got to be a reason for all of this. Now they're saying that she's having seizures b/c she smells cotton candy(?) during her dizzy spells. They told her that a lot of epileptic patients have certain smells or visions of something in particular during the course of a seizure. Has anyone ever heard of anything like that before? That's news to me. First time I've ever heard of it.

Learn something new every day. Keep the prayers coming, they're helping.

Standing -

I have heard of smelling unpleasant or strange smells during epileptic seizures. Some folks even experience an "aura", and can tell a seizure is coming.

Hope the doc's will figure out what is causing this. Prayers to you and your family.

Thanks believer. I hope the doc's can figure this out too. I'd rather know something, even bad news, than nothing. It's like sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for something bad to happen w/o knowing what to expect. It's a horrible feeling.

Hi Shellybird!

Thanks for asking. MIL is home & is working on getting an EEG to see if she has epilepsy. The docs think that's probably what is going on here, so not life threatening, but serious all the same. If she does have epilepsy, of course that means MORE meds! As if she doesn't have enough already! We call her the walking medicine cabinet.

H & I are still very worried until they can actually pinpoint what it is. We should know something in the next couple of days. Hopefully. She is still in very high spirits though so that's really good.

Thanks for the prayers!

Love in Christ,
Y
