After spending 2 days in bed with a high fever and general creeping crud, I had a lot of time to reflect on things. I've been thinking about Mimi's advice and Mulan's advice and thinking what do I take from both. Also to consider was the advice from our MC in what was IC this week. Her advice was to back off from talking about OW for a bit. OW worries MC too but said that forcing the issue might be pushing WH away.
So for a while, I'm going with the cautious pessimism of Mulan and the EN fulfilling Plan A of Mimi. Soooo....Thursday WH and I talked on the phone for about 30 minutes. I asked lots of questions about work and complimented him on what a good job he did. Avoided LBs like anything. Friday night, we had another nice phone conversation. Yesterday, we spent a lot of the day at DS's tournament. It's the first one WH has been to in the 4 years DS done it. (DS WON 1ST! And of course, it's a lot easier to go to a tournament where your kid is a winner...) Then we went to dinner as a family afterwards. In his car, WH and DD sort of mutally decided that she wouldn't spent the night with him last night as planned. I didn't fuss. Just cooed that I knew he'd been sick too and let him go back to his lonely apartment alone. Tonight, we're having a date night, then DD suppose to go to his place. On Monday, WH's says he'd like to do the activity that DD and I had planned for our MLK day off. He's considering going with me to a Hawaiian music concert on V-day. It looks like we might get our 15 hours of time in this week.
Then the cautious pessisism: I believe there is still contact with OW. I believe WH's words are suspect. I will believe only in WH's actions. He's said plenty of things that he's verbally committed to. Let's see if he follows through. I believe that sometime this week, he may go dark for a few days because OW wants her piece of him. I will see what he has to say at MC this week.
Most importantly, I think I'm calling SH. This is a big step for me.
Comment however. I feel like I'm walking a pathway. Like ya'all say, you need a good Plan A before a Plan B. Perhaps for me, it's more cautious optimism.
