WAT - I know the hotel she is staying in - have been there myself. Their training facility is actually attached to it. I called pretending I was OM and that I had a temp yesterday and she was supposed to make reservations for me. They not only checked that hotel but others in the area for me.
Gimble - In person huh - I can do that too!

I understand, but why would OM get a separate room?

If your handwriting is legible, consider writing the letter by hand instead of giving her the printed copy.

WAT - Many others from here are also going to Pittsburg and I don't think she would risk being that tied up with OM. But yes its possible.

FogLight.
It would be good to get you and wife to the point of 'no contact' before the trip.
How does your wife feel about her job?

Don't talk about that with her. You can cross that bridge later.

DS may or may not be with us. I could probably work it either way. He would support my decision. Do you think his presence would make a difference?

Re-thinking, the best scenario would be after the three of you have returned from shopping, and son is in bed.
Whichever way you go, the manner that you give it to her, like I outlined previously, is important.
Her having just had a good family time is probably the best time, but those types of situations may or may not occur on a reasonable timetable. So, use you best judgment.

Bass boat?
Pearls?
Better stick with Gim's suggestion.

Take whatever comes and deal with it head on. You are the hero here.
As for the luck;
I pray that God will richly bless your efforts in reconciling your marriage.
