Today is FaithfulNewCJ's 43rd birthday. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> Can you believe it? I bet you thought I was MUCH, MUCH younger, huh? :P Someone as crazy as me just HAS to be a kid! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> So far, I have celebrated my day by sleeping in; taking a long, hot bath and washing my hair; and drinking cappuccino and grape juice. I got THE BEST gift ever from my beau, and whilst it shall remain between us for a bit, let's just say that for the REST OF MY LIFE I'm going to be happy on my birthday! For a long time, my birthdays were ignored or worse--and then a few years ago the Columbine Shootings were on my birthday--so let's just say that I did not look at my birthdays with joy. Now, for the entire rest of my life, I WILL. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> So, since the birthday girl is fabulous, I have an offer you can't refuse. Mine was yesterday and was absolutely the worst I have ever had. I know that subsequent birthdays, God willing, will be better than the one I just experienced. I wish I could have taken off work yesterday but it wasnt possible. Anyway, I am very happy that it passed and the sun came up again today.

Were you 43 too, 'cuz if you were that's just too spooky! I'm sorry your day was so crummy, but I can sure relate. Most of my birthdays were spent being ignored...or being screamed at...or alone 'cuz the exH was with his OW (plural), so nope, birthdays were NOT my favorite day. Then, the day I turned 40yo and managed to have a bit of a party (I invited people over whom I loved and we BBQ-ed)...well that was the day of the Columbine Shootings and I witnessed first hand some of my friends finding out that their child had been shot and died. As you can see... NOT a good day!!! I've always loved birthdays, but mine has not been a day of joy or celebrations, so I've almost always gotten through 'em, you know? But you know what I've discovered? After the exH and I separated, I threw myself a GOOD birthday, and my kids conspired and it was pretty good. The next year we were D, and some of my friends took me out to a blues bar and that was GREAT. Then there's THIS years <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Holy Smoke!! Crushed, they do get better!!! And although I suspect you don't really believe that much right now, take the words of an old veteran--THEY DO!! Thanks again for your birthday wishes.

Oh my lord; I'm in trouble. I promised I'd answer, sooooo.....there is one present that SHALL remain between us (you know how some gifts were only meant for two), but there were two biggies that he gave me--well HUGE really: 1) He stayed up and talked with me all night long. This is an enormous, wonderous gift to me because--well--I love to talk (heehee) but also because it was his way of using actions to say "I'd rather stay up and talk to you than anything else--even than sleep." Isn't that COOL?? And yep, I'm kind of tired this afternoon, but OMG is it worth it! I was too excited to sleep anyway. 2) Being happy on my birthday. This is truly a HUGE gift to me, because as I said above to CrushedNTx, I have not had good birthdays, and now for the rest of my life, I'm going to look back on my birthdays and smile and be happy. I GET TO HAVE GOOD MEMORIES ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! Isn't that a great gift??

At 43yo, I feel fabulous...this is probably the best time of my life. Who is my beau? heehee. Well, he's right there, nikko--CJsGuyDD! heehee <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> Before we met, he actually used to lerk here on the occasion, and when I told him I was FNCJ--well, he signed right up! My beau is about 5 years older than I am and a single dad. He's an INFP/INTP which has been REALLY fun because we can communicate so easily (I'm an INFP bigtime!). We both cry when we watch Casablanca and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. We both laugh with joy when our kids tickle us. He works in the Emergency Room, and is probably the most gentle, thoughtful, intuitive person I've ever met. We like SO MANY of the same things and think alike--actually it's a little like meeting myself but as a guy! We spend time together every night, and since conversation is one of our biggest ENs for both of us, we Talk and Talk and Talk and TALK! Isn't that fun??
