Pep, did you go to Roger James portraits yourself or did they hunt you down because you are so famous???
I sent them an e-mail to see how much it costs, hubby is a huge fan of the 30's & 40's, everything about that era. It might make for a good birthday gift. That is, if I can afford them! LOL!!!!

Yep, it's expensive.
$500.00 for two 8.5 x 11.0 pictures. Sitting takes about an hour to an hour and a half, you get your pictures in a week to two weeks. Appointments can be made a week in advance.

I just got back from Disneyland. And I am tired.... not to mention broke ... but we had a wonderful time. Hey.... this is NOT what I look like every day.... I have freckles... and laugh lines .... and I am 55 years old ! .... this photographer is a magician! He does not shoot digital, but REAL film. And, he does his retouching right onto the negative with a pencil ... not with computer photo shop... This is what gives his work such an authentic 1940's look. He applied most of my makeup himself, because I arrived at his studio right after work, and I do not wear much makeup to work. This is NOT my hat and not my jewelry in the photo. It's fun to pretend, isn't it? Just like a make-believe Bette Davis. If any of you have the opportunity to have a photo done with Roger .... he's amazing. You've got the eyes...well all the features for the look so I'm sure it wasn't all "magic"!
