In my little town, we're having a pancake breakfast at the Grange. Then there's a parade down all 3 block of the historic main street, actually 2nd Ave not Main St. Any and all can join the parade. I think I'll take my dogs dressed in their stylin' new sunvisors. The parade ends at the newly reconstructed bandstand. The John Phillip Souza Band will play a medley of songs as the structure is dedicated. After that, it's a BBQ. The big question will be what firework display do we want to go see. Maybe this year will go to the one in the big stadium. I've also got a fine selection of colorful explosives in the basement. We can do our own later.
Now is that a small town celebration or what?
