Those of you who have been following my story know that for a long time I was really upset about what's been going on - to a certain extent I still am; however, I'm functioning fine and enjoying life again without my W ...
During the day I feel fine; and even when I go to bed, but the thing that's really beginning to bother me; and I'm wondering if theres anything I can do about this, but for like the third night in a row I've been awoken in the middle of the night in a dead sweat panic by the most vivid nightmares I've ever experienced. They terrify me.
I've had the same nightmare 3 times in a row now, and everytime its about my W having a PA with the OM. This happened months and months ago; and there wasn't even a PA to my knowledge.
I've come to grips with what happened, in the physical world anyways; I never think about it - but whenever I go to bed it KEEPS haunting me; how do I make it stop? Are there dream suppressing meds available anywhere? These nightmares are horrible, I've never had anything like them before and it makes it real hard to be upbeat and positive when I wake up every morning with this crap on my mind. Especially after I've finally begun to get over it. I believe my W when she told me nothing happened; so why do I keep having these dreams?

Fox, all of this is very normal from what I understand. I had some of the same things you did and actually had expected it to some extent as a result of reading these forums. It is a bi$%^ for sure. But guess what? I found something that worked and it isnt medication. I found that as soon as these thoughts started to enter my head, I simply prayed to God to not let me see these thing and for Him to take them from me. You see Fox, God doesnt want us to be tortured by these thoughts. They are not from Him and He will take them from you. You must know that. I found that praying for a good night's sleep so that I could be more in tune with His will for the coming day, and more able to lead the kind of life that honors Him, is really effective in the abatement of these tough nights. I went through a period of about a month where I did good to get 5 hours of continuous sleep. Even during this period, when I would awaken, I simply picked up the Bible and read until I was able to go back to sleep. Eventually, I got back to my normal sleep patterns. Even today, and yes it is still somewhat of a rollercoaster after 6 months, I read the Bible nightly until my eyelids get heavy. I sleep well now. You will too. It just takes time. Medication was not the answer for me. God's word was.

Funny thing is that I noticed the indian dreamcatchers work. One thing to remember is that a dream in most cases is a problem you are having and the dream trys to show your problem to you in a way using symbols. What does your wife symbolize to you and what does the otherman symbolize to you and what does the physical affair part symbolize to you?
