To take out the smelly trash - yuk.

To change the oil in the car - ugh.

To check the fluids (in the car - silly).

To figure out the remote control (we don't bother with the power button, why do we need the rest of them).

To remind us if we are fat or not.

To tell us how stupid our friends are.

To push us away when they want to watch TV.

To grab when their hands are empty.

I'll be back to add some more... Jump in any time!!!

I can do that myself - or have one of the children do it.

To change the oil in the car - ugh.

That's why someone invented JiffyLube. You can pay a man to do it.

To check the fluids (in the car - silly).

When the guy at JiffyLube is checking them, get out of your car and watch and ask questions. Then you can do it yourself so you will know if the next guy at the shop is telling you the truth. Also, knowing how to do this can save you money in auto repairs and impress the daylights out of some men and most women. Not to mention, it is empowering to know that you have this knowledge.

To figure out the remote control (we don't bother with the power button, why do we need the rest of them).

Using the remote control would take away the exercise program from millions of Americans.

To remind us if we are fat or not.

Are we sure we want to be reminded?

Quote
To tell us how stupid our friends are.

When we are emotionally healthy, we can usually make that determination for ourselves.

Quote
To push us away when they want to watch TV.

That's when we put on the black and white striped shirt, thong panties, and French cologne and curl up beside them.

To grab when their hands are empty.

Are we grabbing them or are they grabbing us....? I'm unsure on this one. It's been a long time since anyone grabbed anyone at my house. Unless, I was grabbing the fighting children.

I've already figured out there is precious little that needs to be done that I can't hire a man to do. I think that costs less when you figure in how much the care and keeping of those animals can cost over the course of a year. Hmmm, why do we need men........

hmmmmm

To kiss us goodnight and good morning.

To bring us coffee in the morning.

To keep us warm on a cold winter's night. No, that's why they invented the electric blanket.

To tell us that they are proud of us and that we help complete their lives.

Cinderella -

How refreshing your answers are.

I've already figured out it's cheaper to hire a man than to keep one for most any chore I can think of...

My money pit just keeps yanking my chain - I do wish he'd go away...

But I wanted some laughs and you gave me a few. Thanks,

Jan

I got to thinking one time.....not too long after doofus moved out. Told the therapist that day that I had figured out I could hire a man to do almost everything around the house. And there were some things that I could just amass some women friends for if I needed it done. You know, several women could work together to reposition my piano if I really wanted it moved. I don't really have to have a man around for that. And I can do some of my own home repairs. However, for the car, we'll have to pay for most of that.

It does impress some men when they hear you have done some of your own plumbing.

"Told the therapist that day that I had figured out I could hire a man to do almost everything around the house. "

You do realize that the same could be said of why a man needs a woman eh?

I added up the extra costs of having my wife and I would be a millionaire by now if I hadn't met her. Even with a maid to throughly clean and dust the house once a week; $20 to have the chinese woman at the laundry mat wash, press, and fold my clothes; $12 for starched and drycleaned uniforms; $100 to have a Mexican woman I know go grocery shopping for me and then prepare 2 huge and delicious meals a week from the food she buys for me, I can eat those leftovers for days affectively feeding me for the week almost; OTOH I can cook if I want to and do so pretty well.

Frankly American men have it worse off. If I really wanted to live the good life I would move overseas.

There is a business in my town called Amazing Husband Handyman. I call them whenever I have non-specific things to do that I either can't do myself, or don't have the time for. Then they leave and go home to their own wives (I presume) - and I don't have to share the remote!
