The D took 2 yrs to be done and over with, but I'm finally a free woman! Eric is now 6, and the twins, Alex and Jonathan are 4 1/2. I've stayed as a stay at home mom, and plan on opening my own at home daycare in the new year, so that I can stay home with the boys for at least 2 more years (after which, they'll all be in school full time).
The xH (whom I lovingly refer to as nuckfuts <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> ) had been arrested for child porn possession and the sexual assault on a minor. All charges were withdrawn in spring 2004, as the cases weren't strong enough to win in court.
But the final visitation court order still stands (he didn't show up to the courthouse), and he can only see the boys if it's under supervised access at a local facility. At one point, his parents were listed as supervisors, but I got that taken off last summer.
June 14, 2003 (father's day) was the last time nuckfuts visited with the boys. And even then, with his parents as supervisors, he brought his g/f at the time along. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> Goodness knows how many other women he's had since then. I don't want to know. He's beyond help, and sadly, I don't think he'll ever see how it's always been about him. (but I have strong shoulders.. if he feels the need to blame me for everything, he can go right ahead LOL)
The R between the outlaws and myself has been quite frazzled, b/c of the court charges and such, but things are getting better. I've been working hard to let go of my anger towards them (and their enabling), and am encouraging them to continue a R with their grandsons. It's not working as well as I had hoped, as they've only seen the boys twice since june 2003... but that's their loss. As usual, I know I've done all I could do. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
In general, I'm extremely happy and content now. Life is great! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I have 3 amazing boys, a nice home, a business venture on the horizon, wonderful friends, a chance to get out now and then, and a few good dating prospects. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
