I believe now that there is very little, if any, hope for my wife and I to save our marriage. Two nights ago she said that I could go out and be with another woman if I need to fill those needs.

After all that's been said and done, I am still having trouble actually going through with the divorce. My wife will not sign the papers and I have an appointment today to go ahead and file for divorce on my own.

She says she isn't doing anything to save the marriage because she doesn't want to lead me on or disappointment again. I take this that she has decided to simply allow things to get so bad that I will have no choice but to file for divorce. I guess I'm at that point, but I still love my wife and wish that this could work out. I hate the thought of not seeing my daughter everyday and someone else helping to raise her.

How do you get the strength to actually do file for divorce?

You have to do what you feel in your heart is the right thing to do. Only you can know for sure. But, I ask these questions, "Why is it that she will not sign the papers? Does she not want a divorce? Could she be testing you to see how weak you are and/or how strong your love is for her?"

I don't know your entire situation, so if I'm way off base, please accept my apologies.

I understand that do don't like the "cards" that Life has dealt you...none of us BS's ever do. BUT...

YOu must play them...

You have to think about what is best for you and your DD...WW is not your concern any longer as she has shown NO inkling of doing anything to save your M.

Can you stay with her, knowing that each time she goes out with the "girls", she could be meeting another OM? One person does not a Marriage make...

That is Death by a Thousand Cuts my friend and the ONLY way to save you and your DD from ANOTHER D-Day is to extract yourselves from that nightmare.

I do understand that not seeing DD every day will be tough, but you will have to get used to it and you will.

Sometimes in Life, you don't get to choose between Good and Bad...you only get to choose between Bad and WORSE!

IMHO, staying with an unrepentant WW is WORSE!

Best wishes and good luck.

WNB

It is far better to want what we don't have then have what we don't want
