WAW and I finsihed divorce documents last night at the paralegal office. They now have to be taken to the court for filing. I have them, but we have not discussed when I will be filing them with the court. Should I sit on them or just go ahead and file or give them to her to file.
I don't want the divorce, she does. WAW had threatened to have me put out if I did not submit to this method. I talked to an attorney and was informed that she could in fact have me removed from our home. even though I don't have any drinking problem, substance abuse or have ever hit or threatened her. There is no fighting and we are very cordial to each other at this point. I am at the LRT point and holding on by a thread.

This was from 2 different lawyers that I met with. I don't remember the exact specifics but it would take about 6 to 8 weeks. Florida is a no fault state and since we have a minor child she would remain in the home.

Pennsylvania is a no fault state too but without just cause they can't just be thrown out for no reason. I'd do so more research on that. Maybe even call your local police department and ask them. They certainly would know...lol..I wouldn't go into details but just tell them you have a question and would like an answer. I am assuming your name is on the deed as well as hers?? Why do men assume that the women keep the child?...you have just as much right to stay in the home with the child and have the wife move out. Especially if she is the one who wants the divorce.

I have and they said the same thing. I know it sounds unfair but, it is possible. At this point we will share custody and I will get half the value of our home.
She was in a EA that ended back in March, but I'm guessing that contact has been made again. I think she learned what not to do this time so I can't find out any information.

Well that truly is unfair! Sorry!
And yes it's funny how quickly they learn from their mistakes when it comes to hiding an affair of any kind. If only they'd learn from their mistakes that quickly when it comes to ruining a marriage huh?

I guess at this point I think she should take the documents to the court and file them. Just so she will have to go though with it.

Just because you file doesn't mean it happens. Maybe she is just bluffing and this will be a wake up call for her OR maybe she isn't bluffing and she'll get what she wants without having to pay for it. But regardless why live your life in limbo-land. Why not talk to her..tell her you have them ready to go and ask her if she wants to take them down or would she rather you do it.

I don't think its a bluff, but I know not to beleive anything she says and half of what I see. Tonight I will talk to her about it. I really want her to do it. The cost is being shared for that matter. We have not split our finances up yet.

Well good luck...follow your gut with this one. Try to not over analyze anything...as hard as that is to do sometimes.

This morning I gave the divorce documents to her and she will file them. It will take about 20 days, a lot faster than the paralegal told us. I guess it's over, I had hoped that she would change her mind at the final hour, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

20 days for the divorce to be final.
Funny, she emailed pictures this morning of our son and our cats??
Then called and asked what I was doing and how son was thismorning?
She's feeling guilty I'm sure.

20 days from the day of filing? Can that be right? It's 90 days here...providing no one contests anything.

When I called the Clerk of the Court, I asked how long for an uncontested divorce without an attorney and that's what I was told. I was pretty shocked at how fast it would happen.

Yea, I was floored. I kind of gave her the papers so she would have to go through the process and mabye just mabye she won't be able to go through with it. But, I kind of doubt it, the divorce is about the only thing she has been focused on in a long time. I am trying at this point to only look at what the future will be and not the present. I am beginning to look forward to getting my own place and making a new home for myself and DS12 since we will be 50/50 on the custody. I really don't think she has any idea about her future as well as not thinking about what is comming. I'm still keeping a happy and confident mask on when I'm at home.

At first thats what I wanted to do. But after I thought about it I would only think of her not being there. I really don't care for the place that much anyway.
