WW seems to have had a one-night stand 4 nights ago. Today she started her period, as normal. I'm a stupid stupid fellow - so stupid I'm ashamed to ask what every 16 year old probably knows. But here it is.

Does menstruation definitely mean she's definitely not pregnant? Even when it follows so soon after intercourse?

Not necessarily .... but probably. Get a pregnancy test done in about a week.

She said if she were Catholic the rhythm method would have called for intercourse at the time it occurred. Sorry to be so stupid Pep, but does that make sense?

It doesn't make sense that she would have a ONE NIGHT STAND

and then discuss Catholic rhythm method of contraception

is she mentally UNbalanced or addicted to something?

Does she need a psychiatrist?

I definitely need a psychiatrist after 6 months of this.

Guy's in a psychiatrist's office. The doc tells him "sorry to bring bad news but you're crazy". Guy says "If you don't mind I'll ask for a second opinion". To which the doc replies "Okay: you're ugly too!". badabum.

It's really amazing to me that my life has come to the point I can ask if my wife is preggers by another man after a one-night stand.

Ditto to Pep's post. You will feel better if she tests negative in a week or two.

Menstrual-appearing bleeding can occur during early pregnancy, though it is not as common. When it happens, it is usually lighter than whatever flow is typical for the woman. So if your wife is usually a heavy bleeder and still bleeds heavily this time, you are almost certainly - but not 100% - out of the woods. As far as pregnancy concerns, anyway.

I'm so sorry this is happening.

Don't want to worry you but some women can have periods many months into being preg. Have her take a preg test! Sorry you are going through this.

Unprotected sex and thoughts of pregnancy? What about STD’s?

It’s a good thing she respects her religion and doesn’t use contraceptives… Must have been home sick when her Bible class learned about the 10 Commandments.

My mother had 4 children, never missed a cycle in her whole life...go figure.

Good luck with the test results...we'll be pulling for you.

Sorry this has brought you here.

***Menstruation means not pregnant? Right?***

Not necessarily. It's very possible for a woman to have one more period after conception. That's why there are endless arguments over how, exactly, to determine due date.

Well, phooey. I just wrote you a detailed explanation of why pregnancy is very unlikely for your wife, and the computer ate it just as I was going to post it. If you really want the why's and wherefore's, let me know and I'll give the details later tonight at work when I have time. If all you want is reassurance, I can give that a lot more quickly. By the time your wife had the ONS, the egg from this month's ovulation should have been long dead and gone. STDs and and unfaithful heart are still issues, but pregnancy is unlikely in this case. Do what everybody said and have her take an early pregnancy test in a few days. Repeat in a week, if you're still nervous. But, I really don't think so. Good luck.

It is so sad, your wife is no more than an animal, like a COW and YOU the FARMER have to determine if she is pregnant or not. How can people sink so low?

STD test came back negative; no STDs. I'll see if I can get her to take the preggers test in a week or so. Thanks.

OK, I think I've missed something here. I thought your wife had indicated that no actual intercourse had occurred?!?!?! That is was an....ummm...one time solo-thing where OM2 didn't exactly participate?

Am I wrong here?

Yes and no Owl. That's her assertion based on what her colleague told her. She was too drunk to remember, and her panties are missing. You can imagine I don't completely trust her memory or her colleague.

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Remember to get another HIV test done in 6 months, it could take that long to show up. Tell your wife to quit drinking,...unless that is the least of her problems.

She is like a farm animal, no responsiblitiy to quit mating. Sad...Well to bad you can't be the farmer and have her sterilized and keep her in the barn (keep her from having sex with other men.)
