I loved Peachy's Thanksgiving greetings and her request that we find 3 things to be thankful for. I just think it needed it's own thread. So.....
What are you thankful for?
I am thankful for all of the normal things: my family, my pets, my health, my friends, my job.
Most of all, I'm thankful that this is not last year. That was the worst Thanksgiving ever. I'm thankful that I'm not constantly in tears, that my kids are doing well and that I don't worry about where WH is anymore. I'm not dealing with his moods or all of the uncertainity.
I'm thankful that I'm through that part of the pain. I'm sure there's more to come but the raw, deep stuff after D-day is the worst.
I'm thankful that WH did not decide to play money games with us. He has consistently supported us. Last year, this was a big concern for me.
I'm thankful for all the support that I've found during the last year. For the friends and neighbors that have been so kind to me. For everybody at MB. I absolutely do not know what I would have done during the past year without the people and advice and comfort I've gotten here.
Happy Thanksgiving! And even in our darknest moments, there is still something to be thankful for........
Grapes are versatile. Grapes can be sour, sweet, sublime as wine and fabulous even when old and dried out.

5/6: Personally served CH with divorce papers 6/6: CH F? wants to time to see if M can be saved 7/6: FCH reenters our lives to work on marriage but secretly signs papers to start divorce...what's that about? Mediation set for November Final dissolution in January 2007. 2008 and beyond: Life goes on...

I am thankful for my children and am thankful that they are healthy when so many kids are not.
I am thankful that I have a home where my children feel safe.
I am thankful for my health and that I have the capability to love not only myself but others.
I am thankful that my family is together this Thanksgiving and that WH is showing small signs of coming out of the fog.
Ok, that's four things, but I want to really focus on all the things I have to be thankful for because it is too easy to dwell on the bad and the negative and I don't want to do that. My birthday is tomorrow and we are going to the Macy's parade.
Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!

I am truly blessed to have my children and my wonderful group of family and friends.
I am blessed to have a increased awareness of God's presence in our lives, realizing that He was there, I was just to blind to realize it.
I am blessed to have my sanity, peace of mind when I allow it and the strength to be there for my children.
Our bellies are full, we have warm beds and we have each other - in the grand scheme of things, life is good and for that - I am very thankful.

I am thankful first for God and His ever faithful presence. Next for my children. Finally for the roof over our heads, the food on our plates which is by far more than many in this world and the clothing on our backs. Truly, what more do we need? I am also very thankful for the people here on MB and the many 2x4's I have kindly received.

I am thankful for my life, my health, my DS, my DS's health, my family, and my friends. I could go on but those are the most important to me.

I am thankful that my mother and sister are coming here to cook Thanksgiving dinner because I hate to cook!! Hey Melody, Then you must also be thankful you have a spouse that cooks?! I know I would be. Heck, right now I'd be happy with a spouse. Period.

DS10 brought home a construction paper turkey from school yesterday. He got into the car crying because he slipped in the mud after school and "wrecked" the turkey! I will always treasure these sincere handmade items. The turkey's body said "Things I am thankful for". It had 6 feathers and each listed something he was thankful for.
Feather #6: a house Feather #5: family Feather #4: food Feather #3: Dad (you're slipping WH) Feather #2: happiness and . . . . drumroll please . . . . Feather #1: Mom
God I love that kid. Ok, if you'll excuse me, I have to go cry now.

Today, I am most thankful that from this year forward, 2 December (formerly most notable as my D-Day) will now be noted as the day my daughter got married.
I just heard from her today, and she and her fiance, who are both in the Air Force overseas, are getting married on 2 Dec. How cool is that!
