Hey, give anyone a few minutes and they can probably come up with the names of several movies that glorify As and/or portray the BS as some evil villain that does not deserve the WS who's escaping from the M. Seems like Hollywood likes to glorify As - the "romantic love" is a crowd-puller, I guess.

Are there any "happily ever after" movies that highlight reconciliation between a WS and the BS after an A has taken place?

When Ladies Meet with Joan Crawford and Greer Garson. There was an earlier version, but I forget who was in that. Honeysuckle Rose with Willie Nelson and Dyan Cannon.

As a subplot in Moonstruck, the main character's parents reconciled after the father's affair. Both spouses in Everybody's All-American had affairs, but they loved each other and stayed together. It wasn't clear to me whether the couple in Something to Talk About reconciled at the end, but her parents did.

Well the end of the First Wives Club shows Bette Midler and her Ex H reconcile. If you haven't seen the movie, Bette Midler's husband ran off with a younger woman and they got divorced but they get back together in the end.
I highly recommend that movie for Betrayed Wives.

Prince of Tides.......Nick Nolte and Barbara Streisand. It was actually a very good movie IMO.

Doesn't the "Story of Us" with Michele Pfeifer have the couple stay together. I think there is infidelity in that one - its been a long time since I've seen it.

And in "Unfaithful" they do stay together, but BH has murdered the OM - so not a feel good recovery movie.

I rented that movie and invited the WS to come over at 5:30am one morning (before I left for work to watch it. LOL!!! U know what?!?!? He came! Of course, he was trying to reconcile (through the fog) and watching that movie at that time was a 'requirement'for my even considering taking him back. LOL!!

***Seems like Hollywood likes to glorify As - the "romantic love" is a crowd-puller, I guess.***

One of the worst for this is *Same Time, Next Year*, with Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn.

***And in "Unfaithful" they do stay together, but BH has murdered the OM - so not a feel good recovery movie.***

Oh, I don't know . . .

There is also *In The Bedroom,* where the OW is separated and her H kills the OM. Then the OM's father kills the H. The End.

speaking of hollywood,

I often wonder if Denise Richards was doing some sort of MB plan...her H - mr Charlie Sheen, really seems to be turning himself around - realizing he may loose his two daugthers and wife - Denise wasn't going to put up with much.

I also remember Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Philipe going through something early in their marriage - only rumors on what it was, but Reese does say she gave Ryan an ultimatum - to act like a married man and grow up or she was gone - and after working through that - they have been happy since - as she says and he says - it's hard work - but we still have that romance due to the hard work we put in each day...

I think those are two real hollywood couples who may be the ones who make it?

As for movies... I am not sure. I know in Under the Tuscan sun - he leaves her for the younger OW and marries her, takes the house, gets allimony from his much better paid wife....so that's not really a happy ending...

I don't know if there is one?

Bigkahuna - The Firm was the first one I thought of too. Has anyone else seen it?
